The England footballer was quite the considerate husband on the eve of wife CHERYL heading off on a gruelling UK arena tour with GIRLS ALOUD. Kind Ash allowed Cheryl the marital bed all to herself for a good kip while he partied with Chelsea team-mate SHAUN WRIGHT-PHILLIPS at London club Chinawhite into the wee hours yesterday. And like a true gent, he gave two sexy FHM High Street Honeys a lift home in his cab. Earlier he watched his team-mates hold Premiership champs Man United to a drab 0-0 draw at Chelsea’s Stamford Bridge ground. Blues boss JOSE MOURINHO had rested overworked multi-millionaire Cashley ahead of the FA Cup Final, now eight days away — and the ace was in good spirits as he knocked back the booze. Shaun and Ashley gave us a lift home. “I don’t know what they did after that.” Cheryl is preparing for Girls Aloud’s tour opener in Newcastle on Monday. But I hope she gets out soon with newly single bandmates SARAH HARDING and NADINE COYLE. Then I wonder if Ashley will enjoy being tucked up at home playing computer games.

Britney Prepares for Life After Rehab Britney Spears left rehab again last night to visit an off-site meeting and of course the cameras were there to spot her. It clearly hasn't been an easy few weeks in rehab for Brit, but at least she seems legitimately committed to the effort. Plus, I can imagine with yesterday's news of some sleaze balls trying to sell scandalous photos and video of her in NY, she's gotta need support just as much as ever. To be honest, who knows what will, or should, be Britney's move when she is done with her program next week. Perhaps jumping right back into the music business isn't the best call and she should lay low for a while. Eh, what do I know? I just hope she's willing to rock some kick ass short hair dos (without the wigs) while she's letting it grow out
