Following the end of a thrilling season, the WAGs grab some quality couple time with their partners. No doubt with some shopping thrown in. Girls Aloud's Cheryl Cole, 23, is in popular Caribbean island, Barbados, with her Chelsea footballer husband Ashley, 26. Dressed in a black bikini showing off a very large rose and crown of thorns tattoo on her thigh, the Newcastle-born singer Cheryl gets the gossip from back home as she chats away on her mobile phone. Cheryl and Ashley started their holidays in Marbella, flying out straight after John Terry's wedding, and are staying at the luxurious Sandy Lane hotel. Meanwhile, after a few days aboard a luxury yacht St Tropez, Wayne Rooney and superWAG fiance Coleen are having a ball in gambling mecca Las Vegas. Rooney, an old friend of champion boxer Ricky Hatton carried his world title belt into the ring in Las Vegas. After helping him celebrate his victory against Ricky Castillo, Rooney and Coleen joined Ricky and girlfriend Jennifer Dooley in the Mandalay Bay hotel for a dip in the pool, and a cold beer. Ashley's teammate Frank Lampard pleased fiancee Elen Rives, both 29, by taking their break in Elen's home country Spain. With daughters Luna, one, and month old Isla in tow, it's strictly a family affair. Millionaire Lampard strutted along the beach in a pair of red designer shorts, and sunglasses. Clearly World cup winner Bobby Moore certainly never knew the luxurious lifestyles enjoyed by today's footballers and their wives and girlfriends - but at least he lifted the World Cup!

Samsung Electronics has signed a deal with chart topping band Girls Aloud to market the company's music products, through a series of promotional campaigns for mobile phones and MP3 players. The deal, which was brokered by the girl group's parent label, Universal Music UK, is likely to include promotional campaigns involving mobile media and MP3 tracks, but there are no specific details at present. Samsung began its partnership with Girls Aloud earlier this year by sponsoring the Dublin leg of the group's 'Greatest Hits' tour. Girls Aloud, who are signed to Polydor Records, already have a multimillion-pound tie up with Unilever hair care brand, Sunsilk. They promote the brand's in-store marketing and on-pack promotions, as well as appearing in a Sunsilk TV ad. Band member Sarah Harding also has an existing deal with lingerie manufacturer Ultimo, and Cheryl Cole has fronted ad campaigns for Coke Zero. Anthony Marsella, chief marketing officer at Samsung Electronics UK, said: "We wanted to work with an artist that could give us instant access to millions of homes in the UK and would also give us credibility with those audiences. "We knew that we would need to approach a label partner that had both the vision and capabilities to recognise our needs and could understand the desired fit with our band." Since being formed on the reality TV show 'Popstars the Rivals', Girls Aloud have notched up 13 consecutive top 10 singles, including 'Sound of the Underground', 'Love Machine' and 'Something Kinda Ooooh'. The band also released a joint single with Sugababes in aid of Comic Relief, and a cover of the Aerosmith and Run DMC classic 'Walk This Way', which went to number one in the UK chart. A little bit more info: Going forward, the deal will see the band endorsing Samsung products such as mobile phones and MP3 players, making personal appearances and singing at Samsung events, and contributing to competition prizes, among other activities. Samsung will also make songs recorded by Girls Aloud available on Samsung's Fun Club Web site, which currently has 2 million subscribers worldwide. The recordings will include the band's fourth studio album, which is scheduled for a November release, and related content such as ringtones.
