  3. 'Titanic' 3D India Release Will Include Previously Censored Kate Winslet Painting Scene When Titanic first released here in 1997, India's Censor Board ordered cuts in the famous painting scene where Leonardo DiCaprio (Jack Dawson) sketches Kate Winslet (Rose DeWitt Bukater) wearing just an emerald necklace. The upcoming April 5 3D re-release of the James Cameron-directed film has now been passed without any cuts – according to the film's India distributors Fox Star Studios - receiving a clear U/A (or Parental Guidance) censor rating similar to the MPAA's PG-13 rating. Titanic 3D will open here in English and dubbed versions in Hindi, Tamil and Telegu with 250 prints in 3D and 50 prints in 2D. Last week, to promote the film's release, Titanic producer Jon Landau visited India and brought along one of the film's Oscar trophies. He attended a brief preview screening in Mumbai for select Bollywood celebrities and guests, before visiting Delhi.

Pfiew, good looking friends Translation: Ben Dov: Bar Refaeli caused me irreversible harm "Bar Refaeli caused irreversible harm and affected the company's revenue," Suny Electronics Ltd. (TASE: SUNY) controlling shareholder Ilan Ben Dov testified in the Tel Aviv District Court today, in the breach of contract lawsuit Refaeli brought against the company, which imports and distributes Samsung mobile phones. He filed a NIS 2 million counter-suit against her and her father. As for Bar Refaeli's father, Ben Dov said, "We knew by the first day that the campaign would fail. Bar was wonderful, in contrast to her business manager. The fact that I am here makes headlines, and you made sure that there would be photographers here and that everything will appear in the newspapers causing unspeakable damage." Ben Dov contends that Bar Refaeli's father threatened him, saying, "When I arrived at court today, Mr. Refaeli was waiting for me, and said, 'I told you that I would take you to court.' He kept his threat." In 2006, Bar Refaeli filed a NIS 4.4 million lawsuit against Suny for allegedly using her character and pictures for purposes not agreed to in the contract signed by the parties. She contends that internet portal Tapuz People Ltd., controlled by Suny, broadcast live ad pictures without her knowledge. She also contends that the pictures were aired without any editing to preserve her modesty and avoid harm to her dignity. Suny denies that any breach of contract took place, and countersued Refaeli on the grounds that she was in breach of contract, harmed the ad campaign, and acted as if she was owed everything, while the company deserved nothing. Suny contends that Refaeli was notified that the ad campaign would be aired on all media formats, and that it would include public relations activities that included a party in which she would participate, and the pictures taken their would be used for public relations. The contract stated that Refaeli would earn $50,000 from the campaign for four months of work. In her testimony in early March, Refaeli said, "We encountered cheats and crooks," she testified, referring to Suny executives
  5. Nice article about the young Gatsby http://breathlesspics.blogspot.com/2012/03...-alike.html?m=1 Leonardo DiCaprio's teen look-alike How 'Gatsby' Found Its Young Leo, An Aussie actor wins a global search for the role of a younger DiCaprio in "The Great Gatsby." Given Jay's storied history with Daisy, finding an actor to play the teenage version of Leonardo DiCaprio's leading man in Baz Luhrmann's upcoming Great Gatsby adaptation was of utmost importance. After a global search, Australian actor Callan McAuliffe (who you may remember from I Am Number Four and Flipped) won the highly coveted part. But that's when the real work began. "I don't actually look much like Leo," the dark hair, brown eyed actor tells TheInsider.com. "So they gave me blue contact lenses, dyed my hair blonde and put it up in this coif – it's interesting how much that altered my face. It really changed the way I looked. They really put a lot of work in to making a strong resemblance." Once the physical transformation was complete, Callan got to work on synching up his version of Jay with Leonardo's take. "I'm not playing Young Leo, I'm playing Young Jay Gatsby, but it was important to get a sense of what he was doing with the character. So Baz took me into the editing booth and I watched some of his scenes. Everyone really seemed to like my take on the character, so we just blended the two together." And audiences will get to see the fruits of their joint labor when The Great Gatsby opens on December 25 in 3D -- a choice that initially threw Callan for a loop too. "You don't see many movies that aren't big action things doing 3D, but when we went to the first cast read-through, Baz sat us down, gave everybody 3D glasses, wheeled out this enormous TV and showed us a few sequences they'd put together. It's not like they're trying too hard. Nothing is being thrown at the camera so it flies at the audience. It's more about this fantastic color pallate – it's all bright blues and greens. The 3D just brings everything to life in a much richer way.

  10. Thanks for the updates girls! It would be nice to see some new pics of Kate and Leo together though James Cameron talking about Leo and Titanic http://m.torontosun.com/2012/03/28/dicapri...nic-performance Leonardo DiCaprio cringed in embarrassment when he recently revisited his 1997 blockbuster Titanic. Director James Cameron and DiCaprio's co-star Kate Winslet stepped out in London on Tuesday night for the premiere of a new 3D version of the film. DiCaprio never made it to the red carpet, but Cameron revealed his former leading man was left red-faced when he recently re-watched the film. Cameron said, "I wish Leo could be here but he's shooting a film. It would have been great for Leo to be here, to be part of the celebrations. I didn't show him the whole film but I showed him 18 minutes of it a few months ago. It was a good reunion for us but great to watch his reaction. He couldn't believe it. He said to me, 'I'm such a young punk. Look at me.' He was practically crawling under the seat. It was a good moment."

  16. Kate Winslet on Making Iconic ‘Titanic’ Movie Scene Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio captivated audiences as star-crossed lovers in the 1997 epic romance “Titanic.” That iconic scene where Jack and Kate meet at the bow of the ill-fated ship has earned a place in cinematic history, but haunted the movie’s leading lady over the years. “I can never get on a boat without someone saying to me, ‘Oh would you mind? Can we just go on the front? Just for my mom. I literally offer it up now, whenever I got on a boat, I’m like, ‘OK, Come on, form a line. Here we go,’” Winslet said today on “Good Morning America.” “But it does happen and it will happen for the rest of the life I’m sure.” What moviegoers saw might have been magic — Winslet flying on the boat’s bow and exchanging a passionate kiss with DiCaprio surrounded by a spectacular sunset — but the filming was far less romantic and glamorous, Winslet revealed. “I look back on it and all I remember it was always a rush. We shot it four or five times, if not more actually, just because [director] James Cameron wanted the option of various different lights in the sky. They’re would always be this terrible rush, like, ‘Oh my god, the sun is in the perfect spot. Come on, Kate, come on Leo, up onto the bow,’” she recalled. “To be honest to you, Leo and I were like, ‘Oh my god, here we go again.’ I’m not kidding you.” They finally got it right. The movie broke records, becoming the first to gross more than $1 billion at the box office. Timed to the 100th anniversary of the Titanic’s sinking, the movie will hit the big screen again on April 4, but this time, in 3D. “It does look spectacular I have to say…you sort of feel like you’re on the fairground ride…as opposed to sitting back and watching the spectacle, you’re really immersed in it,” she said. The movie solidified Winslet (and DiCaprio) as a force to be reckoned with in Hollywood. The powerhouse actress has become a regular on the awards circuit. The youngest actress to be nominated for six Academy Awards, she won the coveted Best Actress Oscar statuette for her role in 2009′s “The Reader.” Winslet, who turned 21 while filming Titanic, is grateful that she became a megastar 15 years ago, before the onslaught of a 24-hour celebrity news culture, social media and paparazzi that push the bounds of privacy. “I think now when young people are sort of thrust into the public eye like that, they’re almost told they’re successful and told they’re famous before they even really know how to compute how that means, even before they can understand who they really are,” she said. “I think there’s a lot of pressure on young people to really be the thing that everyone is telling them that they are, opposed to discovering it for themselves.” Watch “Good Morning America” tomorrow for more with Kate Winslet.
