  3. Raul Stays Out As Soldado Gets First Spanish Recall Roberto Soldado has been rewarded for his fine recent form for Osasuna, and joins David Villa and Fernando Torres as one of only three strikers. A fine hat-trick at the weekend seems to have done Soldado no harm at all, it seems, with Luis Aragones deciding to hand the Osasuna striker a a chance. Raul remains on the side lines, as does Morientes with doubts over his fitness. Winger Joaquin Sanchez, however, makes a return after putting in some fine displays for Valencia. Team-mate Carlos Marchena also returns; having returned to form following his injury lay-off, in what is a Valencia dominated and midfield heavy squad. The likes of Marcos Senna, Jose Antonio Reyes, Borja Oubina, Asier del Horno, Pablo and Juanito stay out. Spain play Latvia on June 2, and Liechenstein four days later.

Sergio Ramos Relishing Three Match Title Shoot-Out Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos is looking forward to a pulsating end to the La Liga season. "We have three very interesting match-days ahead of us," said Ramos, speaking after being confirmed as one of the mascots for the FIFA '08 videogame, alongside Ronaldinho. "Luck is often a very important factor," he continued. "For a long time, we have not had much of that, and we now hope it stays with us for a while. "In the last few games, we have made things difficult for ourselves," he admitted, Real Madrid having had to rescue late wins against Sevilla, Espanyol and Recreativo. "However, our persitence paid off." He also warned that any of the remaining teams could surprise them if they were not careful. "Any team can complicate our lives. We saw how Betis picked up a draw at the Camp Nou. "Of the three games remaining, we know that the one away game [against Zaragoza] will be very difficult, because they are opponents who are fighting for something [a Uefa Cup berth]. "We hope not to disappoint anybody. "If beat Deportivo and Zaragoza, we would like to be crowned champions at home against Mallorca. However, I do not want the tag of favourites, because there can be more surprises. "If we win, it will be something to savour, if not, a failure, and a very difficult thing to swallow for everyone in the team." An exciting La Liga Saturday lies in wait, as Real Madrid host Deportivo and Barcelona host Getafe.
