  15. DC: I am committed to F1 David Coulthard insists he still excited as ever to be driving in Formula One and has no intention of leaving F1 for NASCAR next season. The Red Bull driver was recently quoted saying, "I would consider something like NASCAR. The only thing is, America, you have to commit to it absolutely. Which means you move out there, take your family there." However, with preparations for his 15th season in F1 well underway, the Scot made it clear that he wants to stay involved in the sport for a long time. Coulthard told the Scottish Daily Record: "There is never any question about whether I am excited going into the first Grand Prix of the season. "I'm committed to driving in F1 for the foreseeable future and beyond

Hierro: Guti Is One Of The Five Best Fernando Hierro has given his backing to Guti's return to the Spain squad before Euro 2008, but admits that he cannot influence Luis Aragonés' decision. The former Real Madrid defender is now the sporting director for the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) and works with the national team coach. Guti is unlikely to regain his place after Aragonés said that he believes he has stronger players, but Hierro does not agree there are many that are better. "Guti and Raúl are friends of mine, just like Morientes and many other players," he explained. "But everyone know the appreciation I have of Raúl and I have always said that Guti is one of the best five players I have seen. "That is not new and I cannot change my idea, but in the end it is not my decision. "When the coach does choose his final squad though, I hope that we all help the players he has chosen." Reflecting on the situation at Valencia, where David Albelda, Miguel Ángel Angulo and Santi Cañizares have been frozen out, Hierro revealed that they have the support of the RFEF. "We feel for all of them and as much for Albelda as for Angulo as they are hard working and are going through a difficult time," he said. "Albelda knows that he has all our support and he has spoken to the coach and myself and we have told we are with him.

IMPORTANT POINTS "Tonight it was important to win for three important points to climb up the table and shorten the gap from fourth place." - THE DECLARATIONS OF THE ROSSONERI - REGGIO CALABRIA - Here are the declarations made by the rossoneri after Reggina-Milan 0-1: MASSIMO ODDO: "Tonight it was important to win for three important points to climb up the table and shorten the gap from fourth place. We were more concrete and cynical compared to other games, the match was planned well and we only suffered for about ten minutes and didn't run into any real risks. Personally, I'm happy because lately I'm also helping the strikers to score some goals, unfortunately we don't score much." EMERSON: "I'm happy about my performance because I can say that since I've been at Milan I've been doing a lot better. Tonight I had the chance to play for 90 minutes for the first time, and I'm happy about the result which is the most important thing right now. In these last few months I have been training well and I'm available to the coach whenever he needs me. Tonight Ancelotti asked Andrea to move slightly to the left and asked me to give more freedom to Rino. I think I did my duty well, now we have to play with intelligence. Too bad I didn't score, on occasions like the one I got tonight you shouldn't fail, it was my fault and the keeper did very well to stop me. The important thing was to win, anyway, I hope that next time I will have the chance to score my first goal with the Milan shirt." KAKA': "Tonight Milan had many chances, many situations where they could've closed the match, but we lacked precision in front of goal. We have to improve in this aspect because we need to get to a point where we don't miss big chances anymore. I was marked individually throughout the game, and I tried a tactical game to try and lose my marker and create space for my team mates. It's always nice to come here in Reggio Calabria because we always get a warm reception."

GILA CHAMPIONS The Rossoneri win in Reggio Calabria with the strength and the anger of Alberto Gilardino. Between Udine and Reggio, Gila gives Milan 6 crucial points in the race for a Champions League spot. Now against Fiorentina failure will not be an option. REGGIO CALABRIA - A victory was needed, both for the standings and for the morale, it was fundamental to come back from Reggio Calabria with the full three points to prepare in the best way a match, the one against Fiorentina, which is like a Champions League play-off. As they did in Udine, the Rossoneri won 1-0 at the Granillo stadium with a decisive goal by Alberto Gilardino. Gila confirmed himself as a crucial element of the Rossoneri's attack, a striker who can always be counted on to deliver, and today even more for that healthy determination which is a characteristic of all Alberto's displays. It was his will, his hunger which allowed him to be ready in the 20th minute of the first half to head in an assist by Andrea Pirlo. A sudden lightning bolt in a mostly dull match, which was conducted by Milan with the right calmness against a Reggina side who were camped in their own half. It was not an especially spectacular match, but the rossoneri handled every situation with great rationality. Kaká and company never showed impatience in their play, controlling the game well with their ball possession and looking for the winning touch. It was good for the team that the deadlock was broked after just 20 minutes, preventing that any nerves would grow against a team who defended well for the whole 90 minutes, except on the move of the winning goal. In the restart, after several attempts to launch Pato's runs up front with long balls over the defence, and after more dangerous moves in front of Campagnaro's goal, Milan went close to doubling the score on a dead ball situation. Once again, the extraordinary Pirlo fired a brilliant curling trajectory which only the crossbar prevented from going in. The Rossoneri thereby picked up three crucial points and will now prepare for the very important match against Fiorentina. The Viola will want to make up for their elimination from the Coppa Italia, but Milan, who never fail on the important occasions, know that at the Artemio Franchi failure is not allowed.

Reggina 0:1 AC Milan - match report Scorer: Gilardino 18 (M) Alberto Gilardino's goal proved enough to maintain Milan's climb up the table as they conquer Reggina 1-0 in a rescheduled Week 15 tie. This match was rescheduled from December 9, 2007 due to the Rossoneri's participation in the Club World Cup in Japan. Nelson Dida, Ronaldo and Pippo Inzaghi were injured, so Alexandre Pato partnered Alberto Gilardino just three days after the Brazilian teenager bagged both goals in the 2-0 victory over Genoa. Reggina were fresh from a 2-2 draw away to Atalanta, where they fought back from 2-0 down, but Emil Halfredsson and Nicola Amoruso were sidelined. Gennaro Gattuso scored a rare goal against Atalanta last week, albeit with the aid of a deflection, and he tried to repeat the trick with a fierce right-foot drive that the 'keeper palmed out for a corner. Pato, Kaka and Reggina's Emmanuel Cascione had efforts from distance. Milan broke the deadlock after 18 minutes with under-fire Alberto Gilardino. An Andrea Pirlo cross found Gila unmarked at the back post and although Andrea Campagnolo got a hand to it, the free header was too powerful and squeezed in. It was the former Parma striker's seventh Serie A goal of the season, all of them away from home. Moments later Gilardino nodded a Pirlo free kick just over, but he was in an offside position. Alvarez did well to close down Kaka as he ran on to an inspired chipped Pirlo pass, but Gattuso had another two attempts from the edge of the box, the second bringing a save out of Campagnolo. Reggina's first real scoring opportunity was on 32 minutes, as Fabio Ceravolo got away from Alessandro Nesta and tested Zeljko Kalac at the near post. Pato fired over from the D and Kaka drilled just wide before the break, while Gattuso and Simone Missiroli had long-range efforts after the restart. The Amaranto threw on January signing Cristian Stuani and Campagnolo fingertipped a Pirlo set-piece out for a corner. In the space of 20 seconds Milan had two fantastic opportunities to double their advantage. First Pirlo's free kick was curled over the wall and on to the crossbar, then as the move continued Campagnolo performed an incredible point-blank reaction save on Emerson. A splendid Pato volley flashed wide of the near post, but the 18-year-old wasted a counter with a terrible finish. Gilardino was at full stretch to toe-poke a Massimo Oddo cross just past the far post. Substitutes Cristian Brocchi and Yoann Gourcuff kept the Reggina defence busy late on. Milan: Kalac; Oddo, Nesta, Kaladze, Favalli; Gattuso, Pirlo (Brocchi 82), Emerson; Kakà; Pato (Gourcuff 82), Gilardino Reggina: Campagnalo; Lanzaro, Cirillo, Aronica; Alvarez, Cascione (Barreto 68), Cozza, Modesto; Vigiani (Montiel 74), Missiroli; Ceravolo (Stuani 61)
