The 31-year-old INC model was seen posing with Got Your 6 campaign and managing director Chris Marvin and Macy’s Chairman of the Board, President and Director, Terry J. Lundgren. Got Your 6 is a campaign that “unites the entertainment industry with top veteran-focused nonprofit organizations. The goal of the campaign is to bridge the civilian-military divide by creating a new conversation in America, so that veterans and military families are perceived as leaders and civic assets.”

They make time for each other! Us Weekly chatted with McConaughey's gorgeous wife at the Macy's Got Your 6 event in NYC on Tuesday, May 14, and she shared their secret to a happy marriage. "The main thing to always remember -- and I think it's important -- you and your partner came first before the kids," Alves told Us. "So even if it's taking a night here or a day there or a weekend, it's just very important to do." The 31-year-old model/fashion designer also finds a way to balance work and family time. She and McConaughey, 43, are parents to son Levi, 4, daughter Vida, 3, and son Livingston, 4 months. "I'm here for Macy's today -- shooting for the INC campaign -- and I got to bring both of them, Livingston and Vida, with me. So it's the first girls trip that we're doing and we have the baby. She's been on set with me every day and really been a part of the whole process," the mom shared. "She gives her opinions. She's helping me pick out the shoes. She's very cute." Alves also said that baby Livingston is doing "great." "He's a big baby and a happy baby," she shared. "Thank God!" And her husband is growing too! After losing nearly 40 pounds in November for his role in The Dallas Buyer's Club, McConaughey has been slowly putting back on the weight. "I'm very happy about that!" Alves told Us with a laugh. "It's for his job and it's a beautiful thing –- the work is unbelievable. It's amazing work what he did, so I'm very proud of him. But a little meat on the bones is good!"

onlineathens.com May 13, 2013 Fashion envoy: Camila Alves McConaughey a ‘brand ambassador’ for Macy’s LOS ANGELES — Camila Alves McConaughey sits cross-legged in a studio in West Hollywood awaiting her next interview, an empty baby carrier next to her sandaled feet. The late afternoon sun shines softly through the window, signaling the near end of a full day spent talking to the press, promoting the latest Macy’s INC collection. Waves of her long, dark hair glide over her shoulders as she peeks around the corner to check on her nearby baby, who is being walked around the room while Mom works. Alves McConaughey has been a brand ambassador for the exclusive Macy’s brand for two years. The 31-year-old, who is married to Matthew McConaughey and mother to their three children (ages 4, 3 and 4 months), also designs her own line of handbags and tunics called Muxo. She sat down with us to chat about her partnership with Macy’s and more. Q: Tell us about your involvement with Macy’s and about being an ambassador for the INC collection. A: First, before we started this I said, “Wait, let me understand the brand, let me understand what the brand is about” and I got to learn that they cover all bases. They go from plus size to petite. They have pieces that are bold and colorful, and they have the classic looks, and they have everything. The quality is great, it’s really affordable. Every woman can find something in this collection. Q: What are your favorite pieces in the collection? A: White denim that I truly love. Stretchy, it hugs your body all in the right places. It makes your backside look good too. That’s very important. I’m loving the eyelet stuff that they have now. I love this dress (she points to an INC International Concepts three-quarter-sleeve, lace sheath). It’s all handmade, and when I found out that it was handmade and it was $99, to be truly honest, I got one for my mother, one for my aunt one for myself. The jackets are great too. I got this really cool motorcycle jacket in this cool blue color that is very hip and cool. They have these other ones made out of lace and linen together (INC International Concepts lace linen moto jacket). It’s on trend; that’s another thing. Their shoes are all under $110. I’ve been using one nude pair a lot (the Mariela pump). Q: How would you describe your personal style? A: My personal style keeps changing. I was very bohemian, then I went to being a little sophisticated, and now I’m going back to bohemian. I think all women do that too. I think that our style kind of changes with our life and what we’re doing. That’s another reason why I love this brand, because you have the freedom to do that with this brand. It’s not just like one direction. You have that room to play. For me right now, I’m going back to the bohemian chic. I’m with three kids now, and I’m done. I’m not pregnant anymore. I’m wanting to really get back into my sense of style. I’m just now getting back into my love of fashion. Q: What are your favorite places to shop in L.A.? A: In L.A., I do like Planet Blue in Malibu. Intermix is good. I always go to Sephora for makeup. I can get everything at once there. For jewelry, I like the vintage stuff. I go to a flea market in the South Bay area. I also like to go to the Salvation Army stores and stuff like that. There are two good ones down in Redondo Beach. Q: What are your beauty bag must-haves? A: I’m horrible with brands, but I do have these two lotions that I use before doing my makeup that I think are a must-have. The brand is Nude. It’s from Bono’s wife, Ali, and she gave it to me when we were all on vacation. I tried it, and I haven’t stopped ever since. It’s a serum and I put it on, and it kind of tightens up your skin and lifts everything up. Then I put on omega oil, and it kind of soaks into your skin, and it just makes it all glowing and healthy. Q: Do you have any style tips you’d like to share? A: One silhouette that is really big right now, the peplum. I think every woman should own something with a peplum. If you’re petite, it makes you curvy and gives you some movement, or if you’re trying to hide something, it covers it. Tailoring is another one. So many times people try things on and say, “Oh, this doesn’t fit, this doesn’t work,” and you have to understand that there are tailors, and that’s what they do. You can go for like $20 to get tailored. You can get something that’s really worth it, and it can be a piece that is with you for a very long time, and it’s worth doing that. Q: Are you coveting anything for fall? A: I have a few designs that I did that I can’t get from my handbag line. Me and my mom made it. Me and my mom designed it, but everywhere I go to get it, it’s gone. Q: Who are your favorite designers? A: Man, there are so many great designers out there. My only problem with (naming) a few is that I’m going to forget some that I love, so I prefer not to say names. There are just so many great designers out there.

Austin Monthly 4/26/13 Keeping Up with Camila It’s hard not to adore Camila Alves McConaughey. Friendly, laid-back and breathtakingly beautiful, the Brazilian model and designer has an effortless charm. She tied the knot with her longtime actor beau Matthew McConaughey last June and gave birth to their third child, Livingston, in December. (The couple also has a 4-year-old son, Levi, and a 3-year-old daughter, Vida.) We recently chatted with Camila, the brand ambassador for INC, before she co-hosted a fashion show for the line’s spring collection at Macy’s in The Domain. Here she dishes about spring trends, style tips and her favorite Austin spots. On home ties: “When INC first came to me with the idea of being the brand ambassador, they wanted me to fly into New York to meet all the Macy’s executives, and I said, ‘You know what? The best way to get to know me is to come to my home,’” she says. So the reps came to Austin so that Camila could cook for them and get to know them within the city. On spring trends: While she notes many hot looks of the season, from the color white to eyelet dresses to warm-weather leather, Camila especially likes the resurgence of peplum. “I think every woman should have [peplum] in her closet,” she says. “If you’re really skinny, it will give you some curves and movement. But if you’re trying to cover something up, it’s flattering.” On her best fashion advice: “Women need to remember that there could be 1,000 trends out there, but if they don’t work for your body type, don’t do it! It’s going to make you look worse,” she says. “Sure, I believe everybody should look at the trends, but only do what works for you.” On her evolving maternal style: “I’m a little bit bohemian chic,” she says. “As much as I love dressing up sexy in things that flatter the body, I’m a little more conscious now. I’m a mother! I can do things that are sexy, but it’s got to be classy.” On her favorite local spots: Camila likes to shop at By George and loves to eat at Uchi, Perla’s (Larry McGuire catered her wedding) and downtown at Eddie V’s. “I can travel, but my favorite steak is Eddie V’s,” she says. “It’s my favorite steak of all time.” On getting her pre-baby body back: “I have not been able to exercise yet since I’ve had the baby,” Camila says, also admitting, “I’m not good on doing diets. I’m not really disciplined.” To drop the baby weight, she keeps her house stocked with healthy foods, but also allows herself days when she can bend the rules. “I have days where I go, 'Today I’m going to eat what I want,' and on those days, I try to do it before 6 o’clock, so I don’t get too bad.” Camila has switched from drinking margaritas to red wine and drinks tons of water throughout the day. Addionally, she likes to cut up fruit and let it sit in water and a little vinegar to kill anything, then rinses and cuts up the fruit for a delicious snack. But the fruit isn’t just for her benefit, she says: “The kids love it!”

The super-sweet Brazilian model, who has three children with husband and actor Matthew McConaughey, is the brand ambassador for Macy's I.N.C. International Concepts and was in LA from Austin this week to talk about the line. We caught up with the brunette beauty to find out about her go-to LA spots, her favorite fashion career moment and the styles she's feeling right now. You spent some time in LA before you made it big as a model. Where do you like to go when you're back in the city? "I was in the South Bay area—Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach. Now we live in Malibu but when we come back I still like to go down there. They still have my favorite Goodwill and Salvation Army. And this is going to sound funny, but they have the best 99 cent store there. They have nice stuff, seriously. My favorite Mexican restaurant is in Hermosa Beach. I worked there and gosh, I can't remember the name right now because I have baby brain. [ed note: Maybe it's this spot?]." How did you get started with Macy's? "This is my second year being the brand ambassador for them. They approached me and wanted to have a meeting with me and I needed to go to New York to have the meeting. And I said, you know what, if we are going to get into this, it is going to be a lot of your time and a lot of my time. I said, why don't you come to our home in Austin? That's the best way to see who I am, to come to my home. And they came down, we had a very long meeting and afterwards, I got to cook for them. I knew right then that it was a great fit for me. If women hear that something is good [from me] it's because I did try it, I did test it. It's not just because of money, I really take my time with these things. And when I learned that they cover all bases, that they go from plus-size to petite, and it's very affordable, the quality is great, and they really include everybody with this brand [i was sold]. That's my kind of philosophy." People seem to really care about what women in the public eye wear during their pregnancies. What did you find the most flattering? "Every pregnancy is different. With my first pregnancy, I was very bohemian, lots of flowy dresses and jewelry. With my last pregnancy, I could not put a flowy dress on. It made me look twice as big as I was. I tried an I.N.C. dress, a bandage dress, and it worked better. For me, that was a go-to. They're not Hervé Léger, they're actually very stretchy and very comfortable. Find one silhouette that works for you and stick with it." What trends are you liking for spring? "Well, peplums for one. And it's spring, it's time to start wearing color. Blues, and in the collection you see a lot of coral. I have a yellow leather peplum top that is beautiful. I love eyelet lace." How would you describe your style? "I'm trying to have fun right now. Bohemian and chic and sophisticated." What was one of your favorite fashion moments? "Well, I had this experience in Paris. We flew into Paris, Matthew and I, for an event with Dolce & Gabbana. We get there and my suitcase is lost. We had all these commitments and the people from Dolce & Gabbana took me to their store and let me pick out what I wanted, from sunglasses to shoes to outfits. And I was like, can I just lose my suitcase every time I fly? It was very, very special and kind of them. I'm a big fan of theirs, they are great. That was a nice moment for me."
