    I've just seen the VSFS 2008 and I'm still in shock. The whole thing turned into a gigantic PINK segment!

    Dear VS CEOs, if you can read this I would like to remind you that "VSFS" stands for "Victoria's Secret FASHION Show" and not for "The Victoria's Secret Show". Focus on the damn clothes, models and make up and not on the guest "stars" and idiotic interludes. How the hell can you mess up a show focused on beautiful women in skimpy clothes?! Use less pink for god's sake. Red, black and white are THE colors for lingerie. Make the clothes simple but elegant and not weird like that (unintentionally) hilarious giraffe outfit from last year. When it comes to music pick something matching the mood. For a dark segment Massive Attack's "Angel" should be a no-brainer. Forget about poppy, kiddy songs. Simply remember that though things cute, playful and fun are good for marketing clothes young people wear when it comes to lingerie keeping everything sexy, seductive and elegant is much better.

    Oh! And use less photoshopping in catalog pictures. Since a year or so the amount of airbrushing is not just obvious, but simply ridiculous.

    The people who did Adriana's hair and makeup for GQ should work with her 24/7. Her body doesn't look all that different then what we could see in recent pics, but her face looks incredible. Much fresher then lately - simply 4-5 years younger.

    (page 136) She did go to the those live shows to promote the show and she did present the "What is Sexy" list. So what's your point? I didn't even respond to your "predictions".

    I meant an argument we had earlier. I think it was the one where we talked about the LL Show.

    IMO she didn't present anything during the list special. She wasn't really hosting it. She was a pretty face used for promoting the event.

    Thanks for the lecture, but it didn't answer my question. I wasn't asking about hypothetical situations. I wanted you to tell me how is it possible that my precise words quoted just some posts earlier were negative and obvious at the same time. Did I write she will be just a tiny part of the show AND that she will probably be bad and that it will most likely end her career? No! That would have been pessimistic.

    What I wrote was realistic and it could only be seen as negative by people who expected to see something like an small Oscar ceremony with Adriana being in the center of attention and actually hosting the thing.

    If you wrote some positive things about Adriana's ongoing career once in a while (there has been plenty of stuff to rave about as of lately), you might not come across as such a grouch.

    The problem is that I figured out my positive comments would look pessimistic when surrounded by the hyper optimistic opinions usually posted here. Someone being realistic would look negative for people who normally only notice the bright side of things. That's why I try not to post comments at all. I only snap from time to time when I encounter too much naivety.

    I don't want you out of here. I was just wondering why you keep coming here.

    Because I'm an old Adriana fan who still is curious to see what will happen to her. BZ is a great place to find news and you don't have to go through so many childish opinions like on e.g. AFL. Beside that I feel a sentiment for this place and it's old users I enjoyed reading long before I bothered to register.

    Ah, it's starting to make sense now. I think you've somehow become addicted to that feeling.

    If I really enjoyed doing that wouldn't I come here more often? Wouldn't I go to a place like AFL where I could "attack" more people? Wouldn't I use every chance to write something negative and "feel smarter"? You just wrote yourself I don't bother to comment many things.

    Let's play this "psychology" game for a little longer. Tell me dr. Freud what would be you opinion about people who are able to convince themselves that clearly negative things about their idol actually are positive. E.g. the idol humiliates themselves during an interview, but those people don't see it like that at all. They make up a story e.g. that the idol was insulted by something the interviewer did, and thanks to that story they convince themselves their idol's behavior wasn't humiliating, but rational. They aren't able to notice their own delusion even when the idol actually does the precise same thing that was suppose to insult him/her during the interview. What would be your opinion about those people's mental state?

    Since we are already talking about why do people do certain things - why are you constantly attacking my posts? If I remember correctly we made an agreement that we will avoid each other. You were the one who broke it and you continue to do so.

    Being wrong about what? Proving me wrong one time after another? What the hell are you talking about?

    That she isn't spokesperson material and that VS knows it, that she doesn't know how to behave in front of a TV camera during interviews, that she had lost her chance to become really important for VS's marketing, that she is "slower" then most people, that the change in her look was sudden, etc. We argued about many little things and somehow I can't recall one you were right about.

    I just watched the show. It was exactly what I expected it to be. The whole concept is a bit cheesy, but that's what that is. Granted, I probably wouldn't have watched this show had it not been for the fact that Adriana had been selected by VS to host it -- which is a nice gesture in my opinion.

    I just watched that "What is sexy" special and I really loved it! Not that I liked the show itself, I think it was shitty. I enjoyed it because it gave me a chance to remind people of why I wrote:

    Don't be surprised if it turns out that the "list presenting" will take a minute and the rest will be a recorded material showing the "winners" or if Adriana will be backed up by Selita or KK.

    i've been quiet for quite sometime here and watching :ninja: . This is a place for adriana fans to come and have a general discussion, yes i've done my fair share of "negative input" on a models thread or poll, but seriously milo, every single post you have has something negative about adriana, maybe points out something in her thats a flaw, or questions her apperance change throughtout the years. it's seriously annoying. you are entitled to your opinion, but you just have to remember people that come here are for adriana and support her, and it sucks when you come on here and see soo much negativity <_< .

    Actually the special is an hour long hosted by Adriana. The whole thing. AFL has confirmed that it will be just Adriana.

    Sorry, but I'll believe when I'll see it... :blush:

    I can only imagine a hour long show with Adriana in two ways:

    -) no audience so the scenes can be repeated

    -) she would be a second host with someone else doing 90% of talking. Something like:

    I really can't believe anyone would be stupid enough to let Adriana talk on her own for 60 minutes. Doing something like that would be a suicide attempt by VS... :(

    Either way I think Sheebshag's point is that she seemed to age kind of quick.

    Actually that was my point. In Sheebshag's opinion it took longer.

    I do admit I probably was wrong about the months. I still think the change in her look was sudden (IMO it happened in 4 months or even less), but I think It took place during a different period. I wrote she had changed during 2005 and now I think that's wrong. I went through some candids and I guess she started looking worse late in 2005 and the process finished early in 2006. Maybe even it all happened in the first half of 2006.

    just referred the information as I had found it on AdrianaLimaFan.net, thinking that maybe you had just forgotten about those shows. I'm sure nothingless won't take offense if I let her know about this error.

    :o But why should she bother? It's easy to find shows now. When you remember that the particular show had year x in it's name you simply look for it in x section. Nothingless would have to check the precise dates when the shows took place and move many runway and candids galleries. I really think it's ok the way it is...

    I actually bothered to look for those dates because somehow I can't imagine you admitting you were wrong and I assume you would change the subject after finding when the shows took place.

    Most shows on Nothingless' page are placed in wrong years but I really don't think anyone should bother her about that. People who were interested in fashion will figure out the shows took place a year earlier then their name suggests.

    Yeah, you are probably right, but we don't have any evidence of that.

    I didn't pay attention to what the shows were called. I just found them in the 2006 section of AdrianaLimaFan.net. If they're not from 2006, they shouldn't be indexed under 2006. Simple as that. Just like the VS 2006 show isn't indexed under 2007 just because it took place in late 2006. If you can back up your claim that those pictures are indeed from 2005, I'll ask nothingless to correct it.

    My claims?! You are the one saying they happened in mid 2006! Try to prove that... I'm not going to waste my time.

    :laugh: I know my English is bad, but please, I made this clear. She doesn't appear in talk shows (like Leno or Conan). If she does appear in some major show (and her appearance is longer then 30 seconds) she never is alone and talks only about VS related stuff - no personal questions. Beside that she obviously is interviewed for some less important shows, but for the major ones she only repeats studied answers.

    heard she started dating Kravitz and that before this she was with some other guy (also twice her age) it created an image of her personality..

    who's this other guy? jay-z? well, no pix of them together :unsure:

    He was an aspiring ( :cain: ) photographer. His name is Estevan, he is from Argentina, he met her when she was around 16 and he was in his 30s. Adriana mentioned him in old interviews. I'll try to find one. Here: http://www.superiorpics.com/adriana_lima/interview.html .

    Dude, when a show is called "spring summer 2006" it doesn't mean it happened during spring/summer of that year... it means it's about the clothes people were supposed to be wearing during that period and because of that it had happened "a little" sooner. In autumn of the previous year... The pics you posted are from 2005...

    I'm replying to a post Shebshag wrote in Candids.

    I know how you feel Milo. I also fell in love with young Adriana. She was the epitome of physical beauty in my little world. Adriana still looks good but she's not as outstanding as she used to be (she still has her moments though). But then again, in the picture thothmosis posted, she looks like a young girl. We can't really expect Adriana to still look like that at the age of almost 27. Time destroys everything. Depressing? Yes. But that's the way it is. I'm just happy she's still here with us :wave:

    Think about how fast Britney Spears went from being the fantasy of so many men to being and looking like a total wreck. At least Adriana is aging gracefully. She's a woman now, not a girl, that's the only difference.

    If she dresses properly and takes care of her appearance, she can still make most other women pale by comparison. I think she proved that with recent candids such as the one below (even though that dress could have been better):

    2007 ended on a good note for Adriana and 2008 will be a better year. I can feel it :D
