Honestly I thought J.Edgar was better than I could imagine, after read such bad reviews saying the movie was horrible which it's not the case, I agree that some parts were boring but I liked the movie most of the time. Off course is not that entairtaining like Inception but it's a biopic of a person that wasn't the most pleasant at all and he was not very known to the public also. The parts I liked the most were the ones were he was in his private life (even that scenes were fictional) but it was interesting to see how weak he was close to his mother compared with his professional life where he was totally in the power. For me the most powerful scene is that one where after his mother died and than he wears her dress and says: stay strong Edgar and than he falls in the ground and starts to cry, oh, that was heartbreaking and Leo was amazing on that scene, I cried a lot.

I see your point of view Neon and I agree wasn't his best performance but I still thought Leo was great in J.Edgar and I think he deserved all the nominations he got this year and he would deserve to be nominated in Oscar in my opinion. But if we are talking about being snubbed... than I think it was not being nominated for Revolutionary Road, man that was acting, his frank just got me in tears and I was shocked on how he gone further and deeply with his emotions in this movie.

George Clooney and Brad usually play themselves on the screen and I admit that in the Descendants and Moneyball were the exception but neither was as extraordinary as some on the dirty game of the Oscar campaign tried to put them. The fact that they left out Michael Fassbender and Leo was unforgivable. That is right and after that I finally saw J.Edgar like 2 weeks ago, believe it... I have to say that Leo really deserved to be nominated, he was amazing and made me cry at least some 3 times in the movie.

wow SweetGaby: I felt exactly the same way, which was a shame for me because I have to be honest and say that I liked to see Leo with Blake while it lasted... I can't even hide because who is on this thread for so long knows I liked them as a couple and I thought he was happy with her and I was disappointed with her attitude, really. But as SweetGaby said we don't know the absolute truth, their feelings towards each other or if was THAT serious or not but still I felt sad on how things end up between them. So, it's not about hate on Blake because I don't hate her or anything but it is just the way she acted when she and Leo split.
