Deirdre Bolton Occupation journalist, news anchor Deirdre Bolton is a news anchor on Bloomberg Television. Personal life Ms. Bolton grew up in Newtown, PA. She earned her bachelor's degree in English literature at the University of Iowa, and received her MA from New York University in French literature. Currently, she lives in New York City with her husband and two sons. Career Prior to joining Bloomberg in 1999, Ms. Bolton started her career in banking, selling European equities to US portfolio managers. She worked for La Caisse de Depots (CDC North America) and Societe Generale, both in France and in the US. While working at Bloomberg, Bolton has covered the markets for the UK-, European-, and US-based audiences from the New York Stock Exchange and the NASDAQ. Bolton has been the face of Bloomberg News for affiliate reports in Pittsburgh, Raleigh, San Antonio, Salt Lake City, and New York City, among other cities.
