  1. they are called miracles for a reason.  they don't happen very often.  it's nice to hold out hope, but you have to be realistic.  like me, im holding out hope i'll get laid tonight, but that doesn't mean that I will.

Besides, this guy was probably some dead-beat boyfriend, it's better that she move on to other, better people; presumably ones that will not die at the first sign of a little wave.   ;)

Mayn, I don't know if you are making a joke or not. Either way, you're SICK!!!

  2. i too thought antonio won

I watched the fight again just to make sure, and I got a draw. Round 3 was a hard round to call. Tarver may have stolen that round with his combinations in the last half of the round, but Glen Johnson seemed to control most of that round. Plus, you saw the desire that Glen Johnson had to win that fight, which was something that Antonio seemed to lack. Fuck it. <_< It just gives us boxing fans another bout to look forward to in 2005.

HAPPY NEW YEAR, BOXING FANS!!! :fun:

  3. Now, the death toll is well over 100,000. Since so many people are being buried in mass graves in order to prevent a disease outbreak, chances are is that we will never know what happened to Simon Altlee.

  4. The story about California breaking off and going into the sea is an urban legend. There is no scientific basis for it. The Pacific plate is colliding with the North American plate with the former sliding under the latter. This means mountain ranges like the Sierra, the Cascades, and the coastal mountains will be getting higher. The San Andreas fault is just a portion of this process. If everything west of this fault broke off and fell into the sea it would leave the majority of California intact but would take out the Bay Area and some of southern California. Since this is not scientifically credible, it isn't worth discussing.

California is on a plate that is moving northward. Scientists say that in 30 million years that L.A. will be a suburb of Anchorage, Alaska.

  5. Its CRAZY how this could happen. Why did petra have to be on vacation there... She shouldve gone to San Diego... Its nicer and safer over here. Its horrible that so many people have perished in this tragedy. Its one for the record books...

This tradegy kinda reminds me of the song "Why" by Jadakiss. SOCOM, don't you think you are missing the big picture here?! That "shouldve gone to San Diego" statement, while true, seems to be very insensitive. Also, you might wanna take into account that many popular vacation spots are also prone to other natural disasters, like all the tropical storms which often become hurracanes and such. It sucks, but this is the world we live in.

  6. Ya she most have some european in her, since her eyes are very light. I thought she was mixed, I always thought that.

Yeah, she probably has some european in her, but most black Americans do, due to the history of black people being slaves. My sister also has light eyes. They are either green or hazel, depending on what she wears. However, our mother is mulatto, so it makes sense.

  7. Anybody got thoughts and/or predictions about the Jermain Taylor vs. Glen Johnson fight tonight?

Sorry, I meant the Antonio Tarver vs. Glen Johnson fight. It was a good, close fight, but I think that Antonio was the winner. All in all, a good year for boxing. (Y) Even though Glen Johnson got a questionable decision over Tarver, it seems right. Every year, some fighter is always gonna get a questionalbe decision over another fighter, even if its clear that the other person won the fight. Go figure.

  8. This weekend will also feature Joel Casamayor vs. Jose Luis Castillo and Jeff "Left Hook" Lacy vs. Omar Sheika. Not only will we see what the future of the middleweight division might look like, but if Casamayor can beat Castillo(which ain't gonna be easy, Castillo is a champion), we just might see Casamayor-Diego Corrales III!!! That would be so  .
