22 I was talking with the 'rent earlier, and we've decided that they'll probably make the fifth and sixth movie back to back. So people stay interested because the 7th book comes out in 2 years at least, and so the actors don't get icky and too old.

Bad mental image. They all need hair cuts. I swear. I'm actually looking forward to Krum because he doesn't have scary ass 70s-wannabe hair And I want a picture of Draco. Which they aren't giving me :yuckky:

That's a thought. And Dumbledore did say by marking Harry, the Dark Lord passed on some of his powers (parseltongue etc), so perhaps 'power' could be interpretted as 'part of his soul'. And it was mentioned to me by a friend of mine that the locket (or a locket) was mentioned in the fifth book:

WANNA BE IN A BRAD PITT MOVIE? By STEVE TILLEY, EDMONTON SUN Anybody want to be in a movie with Brad Pitt? When you put it like that, you can see why the company in charge of casting extras for The Assassination of Jesse James is expecting an onslaught of silver-screen hopefuls when they hold an open application process this Sunday in Edmonton. Starring Brad Pitt as the legendary outlaw, The Assassination of Jesse James begins shooting Aug. 29 and will visit locations in and around Edmonton and Calgary. The shoot wraps up at the end of November. Hundreds of extras will be required to populate the film's locations, ranging from downtown Kansas City to frontier settlements in Colorado, circa the late 1800s. "We get a wide range of people," said Louise Mackiewicz. Her Calgary-based company, the Casting Line, is holding drop-in applications all day Sunday at the Ramada Hotel and Conference Centre, 11834 Kingsway. "Everything from unemployed people looking for a job to retired people interested in extra work," Mackiewicz said yesterday. "We get people from all walks of life." Mackiewicz's company is looking for men and women of all ages who could convincingly pass for people living a hardscrabble life in the Wild West between 1875 and 1890. Facial hair on men is a big plus, as is long hair on women that can be braided or rolled up, since short hairstyles were not the norm for women back then. An overall "weathered" look is what they're after, said Mackiewicz. Interested hopefuls are invited to drop in between 10 a.m. and 9 p.m. to fill out an application, be measured and photographed. Those chosen to take part will be contacted closer to the film's start date. Work as an extra pays $9 an hour, with time-and-a-half after 8 p.m. Meals are typically also included. Chances are extras will only be called upon to appear in a specific scene, along with anywhere from 20 to 300 or more other extras. "You are a Kansas resident or you are a Colorado resident, so we don't want to see you in both towns," said Mackiewicz, whose company also cast extras for the Calgary-based shoots of the western-themed Open Range and Shanghai Knights. The drop-in application session will run from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. this Sunday at the Ramada Hotel and Conference Centre, 11834 Kingsway, in the main ballroom. A separate Calgary casting call will be held Aug. 21.

Old event, new pictures (at least I haven't seen them before) Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Fall 2003 Collections for Betsey Johnson Backstage

These are old, so may be repeats, but thought I'd post them anyway. (Posted with this headline) Brazilian Top Model & fiancee of Leo DiCaprio GISELE BUNDCHEN, the face of fashion campaign for Brazilian Dept Store C&A. Bundchen has recently bought a house in LA near DiCaprio.

It's probably a really bad idea to direct link to wireimage. You might want to save that and put it on imageshack or something.

Does anyone know if Ana was in the Paris Fashion Week? I know she's done it in the past, but I haven't heard any word about whether or not she did it this year.

You might want to start acting like it then. Goodbye now. I'm done and you're on my ignore list. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> i was denegrating him for acting superior for his age, thus i was being facetious myself. But nice try. And again, read more carefully. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm not acting superior for my age. I made a comment based on the fact that fansites for HP, as a whole, are run by 14 to 18 year old fans. And I'd read more carefully if I were you as well, as it seems you only seem to read half of what is typed. At any rate, I have two things to say. 1) I am not discussing this further as fighting on a messageboard is a waste of time, and 2) I'm female.
-
Good point. It's very possible. What else do you think Gryffindor would have? Hufflepuff - Goblet Slytherin - Ring and Locket Ravenclaw - ? Gryffindor - Sword I don't see any real pattern here. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> A ring and locket are both jewelry, so perhaps Gryffindor, with the possession of a sword, would maybe have another weapon. Or perhaps a sheild? As for Hufflepuff that is what stumps me. I'd say more things long the line of dinnerwear (plates, spoons, that sort of thing) but can you really imagine Voldemort putting a piece of his soul into a spoon? As for Ravenclaw...that I couldn't even begin to guess.
-
Anyways, back to important things. We already know that one has to be Ravenclaw or Gryffindor, but I'm betting on Ravenclaw. Especially since the sword didn't show any signs of being reluctant to Harry's use in CoS. I don't think Voldemort would be so careless. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> And if you think about it, being the Heir of Slytherin, would he really touch anything connected with Gryffindor? Though there may be more objects out there that were his (Slytherin did have two, the ring and the locket), so it's feesible that the other three would as well.
-
Does anyone have any theories on what the other objects are? It's already obvious that the diary was one, but what about the other five? We have Helga Hufflepuff's cup, and the locket belonging to Slytherin. What other things do you think a part of Voldemort's soul would be in?

As you were complaining about before, these are our opinions. I don't think Snape is loyal to Dumbledore. Maybe you do. And good for you. I don't need a bunch of 14 year olds to prove me right. So I'm not "wrong". And neither are you. We just interpret the book differently. So please knock it off. I'd like to have a intelligent discussion and it's obvious that after this point, that's not going to happen. ETA: You'll also notice on that board that half of them say he's with Voldemort. So I don't know what kind of "proof" that is.
-
It could also have been Snape saying he didn't want to work for Dumbledore anymore. That he wanted to stop spying all together.
-
When exactly did that happen?
-
I don't know. They've hated each other for 20 years, I think Lupin might have a fair idea. And Snape hated muggleborns. You don't use terms like 'mudblood' if you're secretly in love with one. And we were never lead to believe, at least I was never lead to believe that he was never "evil". It was always written that while yes he gave Harry a hard time, and yes he had a "dark past" that he was fighting on the side of good. I feel this book only goes to show that he most definately was not.

First, I don't think there is any way that Snape can redeem himself. He was responsible, if indirectly for the deaths of Lily and James Potter. He was responsible, directly for the death of Dumbledore. He has at every turn tried to make Harry's life difficult. He saved him only because, as he states at the end, that to take care of Harry is the Dark Lord's privilege (paraphrased of course). Dumbledore believed Snape was good because Snape claimed he had regret over the deaths of James and Lily. Which, as we see from Lupin's reaction, is a flat out lie. Snape hated James, and anyone who had anything to do with him or Sirius. And the reason Snape killed Dumbledore is because of the Unbreakable Vow he made with Narcissa (on one hand) and on another it was something that the Dark Lord ordered directly and as Malfoy could no do it, he did it, again because of the Vow. And Snape's goal was never to simply kill Dumbledore. As he stated numerous times to Bellatrix, he was there to spy. He was there to gather information on the Order (as I'm sure will become more evident in the 7th book as he reveals his secrets to Voldemort). He stated numerous times that EVERYTHING HE DID was to follow Voldemort's orders. And yes Dumbledore went straight to Snape upon his injury, and yes he didn't kill him. But why? BECAUSE THAT WAS DRACO'S MISSION. It was his test from the Dark Lord to see if he, like his father, would be loyal. The idea that Snape was "not happy" about taking the vow is ridiculous. He could have said no, he could have stated that it was Draco's mission (as it obviously was). To say that Snape had been lying to Voldemort (when he himself states "Or that I have somehow hoodwinked him? Fooled the Dark Lord, the greatest wizard, the most accomplished Legilimens the world has ever seen?") is ludicrous. As good as Snape was at Occulmency, he couldn't keep the likes of the Dark Lord out of his head. Dumbledore went to Snape because he trusted him and Snape let him believe in that trust until it was ultimately Dumbledore's end. And I'm on the bandwagon of believing that R.A.B. is young mister black. Note: I would like to make mention that I never thought Snape was evil. I always labelled him as an anti-hero. That he would save them because of his responsibilities to Dumbledore and perhaps whatever had made him turn from Voldemort. That was proven wrong to me in this book.
