Why did Beyonce get the SI cover in 2007? Was it her team that pushed it or did SI go after her? I don't even understand why she would want it, she seems wayyy bigger than the magazine itself. Was it super shocking when the cover revealed and it was Beyonce, or did people see it coming?

Does Emrata really have a chance at the cover, as a rookie, especially for the 50th issue? I would think Nina would definitely have the edge over her, at least. If Anne V got the cover I would be thrilled. But my money is on Kate.

Haha, why are Ale and Candice's answers so different in the video above? They technically have the same "angel" contract. This is actually a very interesting piece of info that Candice revealed. I would have never imagined that their contracts explicitly state that models must promote things via social media, but rather that it was a positive, appreciated favor (as Ale said). It's so obvious though when VS has their girls tweet about events/promotions (especially when the #VSFashionShow comes along, holy shit). Behati for example, usually refrains from posting pics of her VS work, it's obvious that she's not into posting her VS pics the way Candice or Lindsay are. But she posted a bunch of #BomshellsDay pictures of her from the V-Day catalogue, which seems very out of character for her. Edit: also had the pleasure of meeting Martha and Cindy Bruna today! Please excuse my face in these. Cindy was very sweet and pretty, and surprised that I knew her name it seemed haha. Martha was very kind too. She was in a rush but took a pic with me anyway, very nice/courteous of her!

VS angels are more than just nice bodies though. They have to have some sort of fashion background and amazing faces. No offense to that lady above, but her face is not cutting it at all.

Does this mean that Doutzen will remain angel throughout 2014? It would obviously be unethical for VS to release her if she's on maternity leave, not to mention against the law. But yeah, this explains why Doutzen wasn't in Miami now! And the cancellation of her Desigual show in Barcelona too I would suppose. So I guess she won't be going into space. Shame. Also no FB. Good news is she will still be able to walk the VSFS. I know it's super early to start this discussion, but I think it's gonna go to either Lily or Behati, for sure now. Probably Behati.

I wish they had Candice in platform heels in the V-day event with Karlie, it would have made their heights more level. Has anyone else seen Nina Agdal's preview pics for SI? Man, she is smoldering hot. I really really wish VS would work with her. She would be a phenomenal angel IMO. She stands out and would bring something new to the line-up. Plus she has that fun, bubbly personality that VS loves. She's pretty versatile too! I could totally picture her doing VSX, swim, clothes, and lingerie. I totally agree with you on that note. Though I do think that if Candice was an SI model and not a VS angel, she would probably have more meat on her bones and as a result possibly more T&A. We all know how VS likes their girls super skinny, so that's probably why she maintains that size. But I have to admit, some of Candice's swim pics are absolutely phenomenal. Her BTS ones on her Instagram, IMO were some of the best ever taken of her. I feel like Adriana if given the chance would have been a fabulous SI model. It would be great if there was more crossover with the models. I'd love to see some of those SI models rock the VSFS and VS catalogues. They could actually fill out those bras.

Adriana would absolutely slay for SI. She definitely has that in your face sex appeal and body that the magazine goes for. It's a shame that there isn't much cross over and the models are segregated. This is a very interesting topic. Wish we would get more opinions! I also think SI and VS vary in the pools of models they work with. VS clearly works with HF models, while SI seems to work with models who simply have "the look," regardless of their past work experience. Maybe this is why VS models are taken more seriously in the fashion industry than SI models. Plus there is also the fact that VS models work year round, while SI models obviously only do the magazine and any parties/events near the launch date. This means more visibility for VS models.

Is Lily Aldridge even allowed to do SI? I thought the VS contract wouldn't allow that, because she would be promoting other brands' swimwear, and probably also for the whole principal of it. If that's not the case, it shocks me that Candice hasn't done SI - she would be a cash cow for them.

I totally agree with all of this. I think the problem is that the modeling industry has changed drastically since the "golden days" of VS. Nowadays it is very difficult for models to have any staying power, and the industry has been prioritizing girls that have more of an anonymous look for HF, which is where most of the VS models come from anyway. The modeling industry is now essentially a revolving door, with few models making it past having a great season. There are exceptions of course, as always (Joan Smalls, Kate Upton, Nina Agdal, Karlie Kloss, etc) I don't have any problem with Martha as a regular VS model, but as an angel, I'm sorry, she brings nothing new. I totally agree with you that she comes off as a filler girl, rather than a unique model for the commercial. But lets be real, it's a Michael Bay commercial. It's not like it's gonna be anything iconic or memorable after a few months. I'm probably gonna be called out/shat on for this, but I wish they had used Elsa in Martha's place for the commercial. It would be a great way to transition Elsa into mainline, and she totally has a unique look that would stand out. Plus she gives the other angels a run for their money with her body. Off topic, but I wonder if any of the angels will get pregnant this year? Any bets? I have a feeling Adriana and Ale are done. But who knows, maybe Lily will have another? I don't think Doutzen can get pregnant this year because she's going into space or whatever. I can't even imagine Behati pregnant LOL

LOL Behati definitely still smokes, no doubt about it. She's always papped smoking. And not just cigarettes if I'm not mistaken.. But yeah, I'm surprised about Lais too. I think this is the first time we see her smoking. It's a shame really, considering she is so young and has a flawless face/body and a child. Health should always come first.

Yeah, Candice hasn't even showed up yet! And she's confirmed since she has a chair with her name. Hoping the other girls show up, especially Doutzen (I could do without Karlie though >_<). She and Adam are about the same height right? I noticed that she is taller than him with heels but without they are about equal.

Candice and Martha pretty much blended together. Any regular person would think it was the same girl. Even I had to think twice about who it was at times haha Music kinda sucks too. This commercial is giving off a very cheap vibe.
