What's wrong with having an opinion on who we want to be an angel or not? I'm not calling her names or being rude, I just feel like she has no point in being an angel anymore. She's been an angel since 2009, and hasn't really brought anything special or new. How is she 'better' than Lily and Karlie? Lily is really charismatic, photographs well, is married to a rockstar, and has been killing it lately in terms of work outside VS (SI cover, Proactive, editorials, etc). Karlie is also so involved with other projects outside of VS, and adds a mix of high fashion prestige to the line up. What other VS angel is a US Vogue regular and fronts multiple HF campaigns? She also seems really chill and is a good spokesmodel. What does Lindsay add? Nothing really IMO. Elsa is fresh and already has a much larger fan base. Lindsay is a lovely, beautiful lady, but she really should have left along with Erin last year. Also, Erin was never underused. She was used just as much as Candice was in 2010-2012. That's why her leaving was seen as shocking.

So happy for Elsa! She has so much potential and I think she will fit in quite nicely with the current angel line-up. Out with Lindsay and in with Elsa! Will Martha Hunt never be an angel then? Same with Lais?

What song do you guys think VS will use for their Model Lip-Sync video?! I hope they do an Ariana song, because we already got Taylor last year. Edit: Actually scratch that, I want a "Shake If Off" video with all the angels!

Or likewise, any other performers in PINK The only other option would have been Taylor singing 'Shake It Off" for PINK, but I think we are ALL (incluidng her) sick of that song already haha...

I'm happy Ariana is for PINK, I wouldn't have liked her for the other segments. For PINK, she's honestly the perfect choice! I hope she does a mash-up of lots of her songs (like Problem/Break Free) the way Katy Perry did in 2010. Taylor makes sense, considering 1989 was SO successful. She has great songs to choose from, so I'm excited to see what will be performed. Can't wait to see all the Taylor/Karlie/Lily interactions haha I'm happy about Ed. He seems really mellow, and I think it will be perfect to outweigh the gimmicky-ness of Taylor/Ariana. He definitely seems like a performer that will let the models shine, rather than him getting in the way (ahem, Nicki Minaj, Maroon 5). Indifferent to Hozier. I would have been cool to have One Direction to up the star power of the show (plus I think the dynamic would be really fun!).

You can pull as many statistics as you want, but they simply do not have the social media presence and 'it-factor' that the stars of today have (Beyonce, Rihanna, Nicki, Iggy, Ariana, One Direction, etc).

I agree, but unfortunately that is not happening. there will definitely be performers in the majority of the segments. Sis, we are talking about in today's age. FOB is a nobody band for the current generation and audience. Maybe if it was VSFS 2006 they would have been super relevant, but not anymore. It was quite obvious that they were not a first choice for VS, but rather VS just settled. That picture is hilarious because it makes Behati look like a shortie, and she isn't at all! I've seen her in person and she's regular model height (I'd say 5'10"). Karlie (especially!) and Erin are really giant in height. Lily A is truly tiny. Candice is also on the smaller side, but still taller than Lily A.

He has to tape The Voice though. I doubt he would be able to get out of that, especially since he is one of the coaches and is contractually obligated to be there. LA is too far away from London to make it there on the same day too. If it was NYC, it may have been possible?

It may have been the case in 1999-2000, cause I don't really know if Inés Rivero had an Angel-type contract or just did a bunch of campaigns à la Lais (it is clear she wasn't one during the 1998 and in 2000 shows, though, IDK about 1999). Still, that's quite disappointing that it's only happened ONCE, ever! And that was a decade ago. VS needs to keep the lineup more consistent for the show. I think once Lindsay leaves, it will be pretty stable.

I'm actually looking forward to Behati's opening. Finally a change!! She has good energy and I'm sure she will step it up to open the show. She's always done a great job with PINK, and I liked her openings in 2012 and 2013. Guys, have you also noticed that THIS YEAR IS THE FIRST TIME THE (official) ANGEL LINE UP HAS BEEN EXACTLY THE SAME AS THE PREVIOUS?! No girls were dropped or added since last year. Lindsay came close to getting cut, but she will get angel creds this year. Kinda remarkable of VS to stay so consistent!

I think it's kinda pointless to speculate who is walking in what segment. Things ALWAYS get switched around come the day of the show. I truly hope Candice doesn't open the show.

Karlie has the walk for opening the show, but she totally lacks in the looks department. She's not your 'typical hot lingerie model' the way Candice, Gisele, and Adriana are. I really don't think VS is trying to scare the audience with the very first model.

I hate all these #TrainLikeAnAngel videos that VS is pushing all their girls to do. Like okay, you have a bunch of money and can afford expensive weekly workouts, woopdie do. They are also forgetting the second part of the formula: #StarveLikeAnAngel

Now that I think about it, Izabel really doesn't have very many pics with any 'model' friends. All the other girls seem to have at least one or two close friends (Candice + Rosie, Adriana + Doutzen, Ale + Ana BB, Karlie + Jourdan, Lily + Candice, Behati + Shannan Click, Julia Dunstall, Candice and even Lindsay + Alyssa Miller) Strange.

Although I'm happy that VS is casting some interesting new faces, I can't help but feel a little sad that the many of the 'regulars' we have grown to like and associate with the VSFS are not there anymore. Where is Isabeli, Natasha Poly, Lily D, Magdalena, Maryna, Edita, Joan Smalls, Julia Stegner, Shannon Click, Constance, Frida, Hilary Rhoda, Caroline Trentini, Flavia, Andi Muse, Carmen Kass, Emanuela, Bianca Balti, Inguna Butane, Jessica Stam, etc. etc.?? You know, the TOP models that helped make the VSFS (and the fashion industry) what it is today. The models that injected excitement into the show, that made us nostalgic. There's just simply no loyalty anymore, it's all about the one hit wonders of the season. They kept way too many new faces from last year's show, and 2012. I've always thought that the VSFS was about hiring the most top notch models of our generation. Now it just seems like a filler HF show in fashion week. It's kinda sad that the only models I'm VERY excited to see this year are Eniko and Erin. If someone told me 5 years ago that Erin Heatherton was gonna be the most exciting model at the VSFS 2014, I would have laughed.

totally agree. They're all doing Chanel, maybe? Y'all need to calm down about the Chanel show. It's not a high profile show at all, and will probably be full of filler models. If VS wanted main girls they would get them.
