Question & answers with Natalia on snob.ru: Q: What do you feel when opening another play park, especially if you are present at the opening? Natalia: I feel happiness and sadness at the same time. Happiness from seeing many kinds getting happier, and sadness from knowing that our kids need so little to be so happy. Q: Natalia, what made you choose this kind of charity? Do you get any help from local Russian administrations when you build your playgrounds? A few years ago there was an article that you work with a very prestigious architect for creating your playgrounds. Do you still work with him? Natalia: I'll say it once again that play for children is the most important thing during their childhood. It helps to get away from everyday problems, both their and the adult's. Administrations often help to prepare the land for building the playground and take all expenses in maintenance the park afterwards. We've never worked with the architect you've mentioned. We tried to work with one, but then his project didn't get the allowance from Russian administration. Right now we are working with St. Petersburg's company for design and adjusting the equipment "Ksil". We are very glad with the results. Q: Natasha, you are so great! It is amazing that your heart is big enough for so many good deeds! When's the next Ball in Russia? Natalia: Thank you honey, glad to se you here at "Snob". Currently we are working at the next Ball in Russia, but it's hard to say when it is going to happen. Q: Natalia! I love to tell your story to my friends from Germany. The effect is always the same: everyone's amazed with their mouths opened. That is why one of my dreams is to make an interview with you, to ask you a few questions and make and portrait essay about you, something delicate and touching. Is that possible? Natalia: Thank you for you sweet letter. It is important to understand whom is this interview is going to be for. When this is clear, you can connect with my agents in Viva or DNA. Q: Natalia, what you do is definitely very important. Everything is correct and in style, complete and original. Tell me, what do you need this for? But tell me sincerely. Natalia: I am very happy that you share my enthusiasm about this project. I'll tell you sincerely: I don't like a simple lifestyle, that is why I am doing my charity. It gives me such a strong emotions up and down every day! And I am happy that I do all of this for the sake of good, and not for self-destruction. Q: Natalia, you've made such a ball in Moscow last year. What did you like? And what you didn't like? Natalia: The ball in Moscow was different. We don't to the same balls in my foundation. I liked to work in Moscow, because I got an opportunity to be around Russian people. I didn't like that the organization of such events is still very bad. Q: Natalia, do you expect hussars? Natalia: We are not in the army. Q: Natalia, you Ball is initially made for quite a rich people. Do you plan to organize something from your foundation for people less wealthy? As far as I know this is not so common in Russia. Natalia: We are thinking how to make it right and effective. Thank you for your question, we are working on it. Q: Do you think it is important to search in the archives for the names of those who built free hospitals, shelters and eateries in Russia in late 1890s-early 1900? After the revolution their names disappeared with their money. I think that today it is very important to promote names of these heroes in Russia. They could be the role models for the little ones. I think that the search of these names is very interesting. Natalia: I have been thinking about this not so long ago. They always say that there is no tradition of charity in Russia. And I know that this is not true. You are right, that would be a good information for people. Would you like to do this for me? Q: Hello, Natalia! I think that the most important thing in charity after gathering the money is to successfully build a playground. How do you control it? Is someone involved in this process? Natalia: Don't worry, Ksil and us control the equipment. And the local press is helping - if something is wrong with the park we are instantly aware of this. Q: Hello, Natalia. Playgrounds are great. Any project aimed to help children to communicate and grow physically is good, and even better when a public person does it. And when a beautiful lady - even extraordinary. But is it right to concentrate only on playgrounds - there are so many forms of charities for children? And one more question: at this moment our non-government organization is looking for investors to buy a real ship for children project. Is your foundation interested in this? Could this ship become a lot for the auction? We have a person in Sheffield who could connect with your people. Natalia: I think you know, that press can be positive and negative. And you can't absolutely believe neither of them. I am sure that your project is also very important, but our foundation is working in a narrow direction right now and we can't give money in other directions. Good luck to you. Q: Dear Natalia! In April 2007 on the Ball "Rapsodiya" Oleg Tinkov bought a horse from Jean Paul Gaultier for about 300 thousands (can't remember pounds or dollars), as I witnessed it (as well as the well-organized auction and the following concert). And the next day Oleg told me, that supposedly you (meaning your foundation) promised to build a playground in his home city Kemerovo. As I got it he initially bought this horse with this hope. Did you bulid a playground in Tinkov's home city as you did in yours? Natalia: Yes, we did. But this is not Kemerovo, but Leninsk-Kuznetsk. We opened it together with Tinkov. Q: Good afternoon, Natalia. I'd like to offer you my help. My ex-husband owns a big building company in Vladimir. If you plan to build parks for children in Vladimir and Suzdal you can count on me. My husband has build several churches and his company always helps orphans. I think he'll agree to take part in your great project. Natalia: Thank you, I'll give your generous offer to the foundation. We will consider the possibility to build a park in Vladimir. Q: Natalia, I'll join the previous offer and would also like to offer you my help. I have the requires resources and would like to help you. If you are interested, you can contact me. Natalia: I don't think I can contact you myself, but one of our co-worker from the foundation will contact you, if you don't mind. Thank you in advance. Q: Good afternoon, Natalia. Several years ago I visited Kostroma region. It has only one old Culture House there for a several villages, and playgrounds are built by the local people. This area has a lot of space and a real playground would be a real miracle for the kids there. I'd like to help you, if you are interested. Good luck. P.S. You have a wonderful pillows behind you in the video : ) Natalia: Thank you very much. What town are you talking about? Tell me, we'll try to contact them. P.S. This is a couch in the play room. Q: It is good that people have such goals like building playgrounds and parks, especially in Russia. But I have a question about building playgrounds in London. As far as I know local government is responsible for them and there is no lack of them there. Natalia: I am sorry, but you are wrong. Most of the play parks in England are build on the charity money. We are not going to build parks in London. And around England there are enough places, where such parks are needed. Q: Some time ago I was in Regent's Park and there was a very beautiful and well-done playground there, made of wood. Can you take this playground as an example for yours? And in general, is it important to have "a good example" in this project? Natalia: The equipment that we used is produced by company "Ksil". Our playgrounds are very bright and beautiful, children like them. I respect your opinion, and I like wood myself. Wooden playgrounds would look great, but it is extremely difficult and expensive to import them form abroad. You can go to the www.nakedheart.org and see that our playground fit the definition of "good example". Q: Natalia, who designs you play parks? Would you like to work with famous architects and designers? My foundation would like to offer you a partnership. Natalia: If you make all calculations and can offer this as a project to us, our board would love to consider this offer. Q: Natalia, can you explain why you will build playgrounds not only in Russia, but also in England now? Natalia: I think that when a Russian foundation collects money not in its home country it is morally correct to share the results of auction with the country that helps us. Q: Building playgrounds for children is a great project. Are you interested in social politics in Russia in general? Do you plan to do it? Natalia: I don’t plan to now. Q: I have read that you design clothes and underwear now. Can you tell about this project and its role amongst your other works? Natalia: I am sorry, I don’t have time for this. Q: How many percents of your time do you spend on charity and do you think that some day you may give al you time to it? Natalia: It’s hard to say in percents, but I spent much more time on charity then on my career. Q: Natalia, why are you concentrated on playgrounds? I think it would be more effective to do some major particular projects. Like building shelters for homeless, where kids can get food, clothes, money. And playgrounds must be built by local administrations, that’s law. Natalia: They must, but they don’t build them. And I feel sorry for all kids. Why someone should be left aside? If to think in this way, homeless children should also be under the administration’s duty. But it is not our reality. And both homeless and unhappy children can come to our parks. source: snob.ru My translation.

Natalia about her beauty secrets: When people ask me about my beauty secret I always say that it is in my naturalness. A woman shouldn't be "covered" with a heavy dress or a bright make-up. On the contrary, they should complete your beauty. And in general, the make-up "without make-up", when you look good, but it seems that you have no make-up on - is the best of all. Source: mail.ru
