Torres to start 2008/09 League campaign away to Sunderland Reds to kick-off the new season on August 16, with first derby on September 27, and final game at Anfield versus Spurs on May 24 Fernando Torres will be looking to emulate his first year in English football as the forward hit 33 goals for Liverpool. The striker broke several club records and Premiership records during the course of an excellent debut season for the Reds. Liverpool will start the new season versus Sunderland at the Stadium of Light on August 16. The Reds will be looking for a similar performance to the one which gave them a 2-0 victory in the corresponding fixture last season. The fixtures are subject to change for television purposes and/or police requests, and it is envisaged that the first set of television fixtures will be confirmed on Thursday, 3rd July. Wow! This story is amazing! I knew that Nando is a great person, but after reading this particular story I love him much more! I suppose he remembers about his bad experience when he was a kid and wanted to get an autograph of his favourite footballer, but this footballer didn't give it to Nando...That is why El Nino is so attentive to his funs. I'm proud of him!
