Model Christensen in all her glory

Helena Christensen shows that age is no barrier for a supermodel as she poses topless for a moody black and white portrait for British Elle magazine.

But the striking 40-year-old model said it was important the shoot was not too risque - as she was worried it might lead her grandmother into an early grave.

"I have no problems with showing my body," the mother-of-one told Elle in an exclusive interview.

"I just wanted the nudity to be in that normal, subtle way because my grandmother is still alive and I want to keep her for another 15 years - I don't want her to get a shock."

The former Miss Denmark added that she gets her relaxed attitude to nudity from her upbringing.

"I have no problems with it. But I'm Danish. Everyone's naked on the beaches."

Christensen carved a successful career as a catwalk model and covergirl after appearing - naked - in the music video for Chris Issak's 1991 hit Wicked Game.

But she rejects the term "supermodel" which was used to describe Christensen and colleagues such as Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford and Linda Evangelista as they reached their heights of fame in the mid-nineties.

"It's silly and cartoonish," she said.

Here are some mistakes I've found .....

Kronen Zeitung magazine is austrian not german

DENTE Norway is a mistake. It's name is DET NYE and it's swedish.

First and second MARIE CLAIRE BIS must be dated as SUMMER 91, both benelux and dutch version. Also the french edition (the same cover) is dated as Ete 91,

which means summer, but not may. I may be mistaken, may be Pierre can confirm or deny my information. ???

And italian Marie Claire does not look like a cover or even like a supplement, looks more as an inside picture ... Can you say for sure it' s a cover ???

Elegance from 1995

First of all I need to mention that most of them are from Pierre...

Pierre and I went through my version of Helena’s profile and made some changes but it seems there’re some remaining mistakes such as ELLE – November –Aussie – 1991. It actually is with Cindy Crawford. I mixed it with the next year issue from the same month. And sorry there’s is no Arena 2001... I mean 2000.

Also could not find some Spanish Marie Claire from 1992. I don’t remember what was my source. As you can imagine I’ve been doing this for years and during these years my computed crashed for at least twice so I lost lots of stuff.

Okay the following covers definitely exist but I just don’t have them anymore: W Fashion Europe – March (Italy), 93 – I THINK IT WAS EVEN POSTED HER, Moda In – February (Italy), 93, Se and Hor.

Just found Elegance so post it separately.

I've finally counted and edited Helena's complete covers list. The source was my own gathered for years information and stuff I've seen from people here

(thanks ). Including some uncertain or doubtful covers, it's 540 ! But there's more, we can be sure of that , hopeful to find each of her beautiful cover
