    Witcher 4 reveal...

The demo is in Kovir, so Triss will be in the game (most likely). It looks like they changed ciri's face a little to look more like W3, and even her voice actor sounds a lot more like the one in W3.

Well. Looks like I will need to upgrade my rig when this is released.

A third Hadid sister has been unveiled, Gigi and Bella's half-sister. Aydan Nix.

The funny thing to me is that she kind of looks like what Bella would have looked like had she not gotten extensive plastic surgery in her late teens.

If you don't believe me, check out some photographs of pre-surgery Bella and then add 5-10 years in your mind.

It's most noticeable in the second picture, the first one is obviously after Bella already got some rhinoplasty, but they hadn't yet done the buccal fat removal.

  3. Thanks to everyone who helped post the content in this topic! Once upon a time this thread would have had 100+ pages at this point. rofl

    My assessment:

    • Herbert sisters shoot is very cute

    • I like some of the Rayna shoot shots

    • I like a couple of the Cameron Brink shots

    • I had hopes for Christen Harper, but I am sorry, she has the opposite problem of her best friend Elizabeth Turner. Whilst Liz has gotten way too thin, Christen has allowed her body to become untoned. It's not really about the weight per se, but about the lack of definition.

    • Penny Lane: great body but so inexpressive in most of her shots. A shame

Pretty much all the rest of it leaves me entirely cold, to the point where I cannot even be bothered to express a negative opinion.

  4. Miyazaki is on the record in considering A.I. art deeply offensive. There is something sinister about Altman & co using the Ghibli style for these memes.

It's almost as if they want to say, "we don't care if you like it or not, we are still going to do it."

snow white finally came out.  Seems like there was an insane amount of negativity about this for ages..

The right hates the Rachel Zegler casting, the left hates the Gal Gadot casting.

Not sure who is going to see this film to be honest. In general I think the quality of the live action adaptation of Disney film has been dire. It's not even about the casting choices, most of them look like garbage.

  6. The Trump administration might revoke the refugee status of 240K Ukrainians, essentially triggering a mass deportation at a time when the situation on the ground is going to become much more dangerous.

Whatever this administration goals are with its Ukraine policies, they can now no longer pretend in good faith that their primary concern is to save lives.

  7. They don't really have much choice, a Russian victory in which the map is redrawn along the current front lines is much more of an issue for Europe than the current stalemate.

For one thing, it would open up Crimea as an effective launch pad, in which case the entire Black Sea comes into play.

The real question is how much appetite Ukraine has left for something that keeps on going for several more years. I'm guessing not too much.

    and here we go...

Live updates: Trump orders a ‘pause’ of US military aid for Ukraine

    https://apnews.com/live/donald-trump-news-updates-3-3-2025

Kind of expected this. Not sure what it means in the long term. The problem is that Europe cannot provide for everything the U.S. did, so it's not just a question of money. The Europeans do seem finally ready to cough up enough money as the Ukrainians might need but it's really equipment and operational capabilities they require right now and some stuff is near impossible to do without the U.S.

One military expert I saw talk on this issue yesterday said it will take a committed Europe that is determined to do it and pours enough money into it 3-5 years to recreate a modest version of the kind of command structure and intelligence gathering apparatus that the U.S. takes for granted. Obviously Ukraine does not have that much time, they might only have months if the U.S. does indeed close the military aid valve completely.

  9. Seemed to me it went off the rails when Zelensky mentioned the fact that Putin has never respected ceasefires and without any guarantees to prevent that, what is stopping him to do so now? Vance seemed to have no immediate answer ready for that and instead went for the "why have you never thanked us?" nonsense.

In any case, the theater in the Oval Office wasn't very interesting to me. I think everything was already articulated in Vance's Munich speech. That was the real reset of the transatlantic relationship. Nothing new has been revealed since then.

The Democrats are still pro-NATO  in less than 4 yrs things can change.  Even Bernie Sanders is pro-NATO even though he's a socialist fighting for the poor.

The Democrats aren't going to win any elections in the near future.

In any case, a NATO that depends on what party is in the White House is worthless to begin with.
