Yes! This could very well be her -- the name definitely checks out with the inscription. Of course it is difficult to be 100% sure since the face is not visible on the photo in question.

This is where I started from. There are pictures of many other models in the top section of this page, so we cannot assume it is Gia (nor it looks like her). The file name is 1979.jpg, which is not very helpful.

It is definitely 1979, Fire Island. To be fair, it is not even clear whether "Willi F..." is the name of the model.

I agree, she does not look like Paulina at all -- it appears that she was misidentified in French Photo spread I posted above, then the misinformation spread to other publications and then soon after to the Internet.

The photo in question (see below) is often attributed to Paulina Porizkova and almost as often this attribution is being questioned or straight up rejected. Here is the scan from French PHOTO magazine with this photograph which explicitly states "Paulina Porizkova" at the bottom of the page --

So is it or is it not Paulina Porizkova? If not, who could this be?

According to Paulina herself it is not Filip Hrivnak's (her male model counterpart) hand in this picture -- it is a hand of her boyfriend Jeff Greenstein.

I believe I was able to identify the photographer -- here is a quote from January 7, 1994 WWD article "Cacherel To Sell Temptation With Eden":

For the TV spot, which features actors posing as Adam and Eve in a surreal, jungle-like Eden, Cacharel tapped Spaniard Javier Vallhonrat as photographer and director. Although Eve will be shown bare-breasted in the European version of the commercial, Klarsfeld said, the film will be edited for the U.S.

Daniel Herman show, appears to be early 2000s -- can some help ID the model and the collection?

Since it is "fotos" as in multiple, I'm inclined to believe that the second part, past the comma, refers to the next page and consequently to the photo in question. Thus all we know is that it was taken by Gavin O'Neill and whoever was the model, was not as prominent as Louise Cilffe to have her name specified in the credits, which makes it extremely unlikely to be Cindy Crawford (or Stephanie Seymour, or Carre Otis for that matter).

I never claimed that the picture in question was not taken until 2009, I pointed out that it was published in FHM Germany 2009 Nudes-Special 2 the importance of which is not the publication date, but rather the fact that there is absolutely no mention of neither Cindy Crawford nor Herb Ritts, yet much lesser known models and photographers are credited -- see the full PDF of the FHM special attached.
