i don't agree at all on the last part... She's got a good body but it's only a Swimsuit / lingerie body IMO, it looks too "sporty" and muscular for high fashion Good point ben, heaven forbid a "high" fashion model look healthy.

Punisher 2: I'm sure it's getting more money this time. I bet the video sales did well enough to warrant this. The X-Men series is by far my favorite, though FF could surely do well now that all the characters are fully set-up. I was never really into Ghost Rider as a comic so I don't much care about the movie...although I will check it out when it's released (heck, Eva Mendes is going to be in it ) For some reason I just didn't get into Spiderman 2....can't put my finger on the reason yet though. Hope 3 is good.

Watched 'em again with my friend Alan. Man, these movies rock! Also, I also read about the rumors of more Riddick films... http://www.countingdown.com/movies/3531221...iewpost=3840899 http://www.pitcherblacker.com/tcor/faq/ Not sure how reliable this is.

As far as Dwayne is concerned, I guess I didn't consider his ethnicity to be a big factor. At least I would consider it so. It's not like I suggested Mr. T. I am so glad they didn't try it with Stallone though. The role NEEDED to be done with someone not so connected to another character (in order to avoid serious comparisons), like Stallone is with Rocky and Rambo. In watching "The Making of..." extras on The Punisher DVD you find out that this movie did lack a decent budget and had major time constraints. There was an entire subplot cut from the movie and the intro showing Frank's time in Desert Storm (they couldn't use Vietnam this time around) had to be scrapped due to budget. Lots of stuff like that so in a way yes, it IS a B Movie. We can only hope The Punisher 2 gets more money & time.

Allison Mack Best know for portraying Chloe Sullivan on the WB's Smallville. Name: Allison Mack Date of Birth: July 29, 1982 Place of Birth: Preez, Germany Height: 5'5" Eye Color: Hazel Hair Color: Blond Bio from IMDB: Mack was born in Germany but moved with her family to Long Beach, California when she was 2. She began acting at 4 with print work and commercials, and began studying at The Young Actors Space in Los Angeles when she was 7. She is still currently attending classes there in improvisation and scene study. Before joining the cast of "Smallville" (2001), Allison starred in the short-lived and sorely under-rated Fox television comedy "Opposite Sex" (2000). Prior to that, she was a regular on "Hiller and Diller" (1997), working alongside great talents such as Richard Lewis, Kevin Nealon and Eugene Levy. Allison has also guest-starred in the WB family drama "7th Heaven" (1996) as a teenager caught up in the "cutting" trend. Mack has starred in many movies for television, including the cable film My Horrible Year! (2001) (TV) which was directed by Eric Stoltz and starring Karen Allen, Mimi Rogers and Stoltz himself. She was also in A Private Matter (1992) (TV) with Sissy Spacek and Aidan Quinn, Living a Lie (1991) (TV) with Peter Coyote and Jill Eikenberry, Unlikely Angel (1996) (TV) with Dolly Parton and Roddy McDowall, _Stolen Memories: Secrets From the Rose Garden (1996) (TV)_ starring Mary Tyler Moore and Linda Lavin. I appreciate your comments. I agree with the "to each their own" philosophy, so I'm not at all saying you must like this version of the story (although I still think you are crazy ) Well, I don't think it's possible to find anyone who could look like Frank Castle..I mean, he is a comic book character after all. Translating it to RL takes some "creativity" really. If we were to even try to find someone with that kind of build, we might as well cast The Rock (Dwayne Johnson). I mean, he is a good actor and might have done real well. As for the story, I found this one to show Frank as being alot "smarter" and creative...not just talented with his guns and explosives.

Not sure what video that is off hand although I'm sure someone here will know (i.e. maddog maybe ) About her ex..yeah, he has a bad reputation about being a womanizer. Sorry 'bout the late response.

man, Kim looks disturbingly like an ex-girlfriend of mine, especially in her candids. Michelle (Shelly) Luna, is that you?

I thought that part was clever. If he would have gone up there and taken them out hand to hand or with guns that would have been ultra-unrealistic IMO. THough they didn't cover it in the movie, he is an expert in explosives through his military training. I thought that broke up the "killing methods" nicely. And the way he made the other son hold the explosive up to keep it from detonating...that was poetic.

A prequel to Pitch Black? Hmm. That would be interesting. I would much rather them go foward though. The rumors you heard might have been in reference to Dark Fury though.
  18. Yes...yes it is...and it will have to be monitored closely.

I too enjoyed my director's cut versions a bit better. I didn't notice a whole lot different but there were a few small differences. Riddick, to me, is the ultimite anti-hero. He might save you but he surely won't tell you he is going to and he is going to kill a few more bad guys than he probably has to to get the job done. He is a bad guy who respects the true good guys (like the heroism he saw in the Pilot at the end of Pitch Black..."Not for me!!" that was a cool line.) and children (a definite soft spot for him..especially Jack/Kyra). The end of the Chronicles makes me wonder if they are going to make another movie. Sure hope so.

They screwed up so much already, why not this? Give him the black suit without having to deal with Vemon first. Just like they gave him MJ so early in his career...so freakin' Hollywood. Don't get me wrong, the movies are good, but let's not pretend they stick anywhere close to the original stories.

Think what you will about Vin Diesel, these movies are some great sci-fi. Not the usual thing you usually see, these actually have some decent character development and what those of us who love sci-fi love...a great "world" development. The action is great too. Pitch Black started it off and even though it was lower budget than the usual sci-fi flick, it turned out great. Chronicles of Riddick is a very different movie though it takes place clearly in the same universe. It had a much bigger budget and an even more creative script than Pitch Black. Dark Fury was created to bridge the gap between the two movies and is a pretty cool lil cartoon. I just got all 3 DVDs and finished watchin them all... 1. Pitch Black - 2000 2. Chronicles of Riddick - Dark Fury (Animated) - 2004 3. Chronicles of Riddick - 2004
