If you look at the legendary, iconic models, none of them are super thin. They are all 'allowed' to be curvy, because they have surpassed the modeling world. They are too popular to be slaves to the industry. I think it's good that Adriana now has the power to look how she wants to look. She has millons of dollars, if she wants to look a bit more curvy, whose going to stop her? Looking a bit more curvy probably benefits her personal life a bit more. I wouldn't be surprised if the modeling industry encourages her to look curvy. Once a model has suceeded as much as Adriana, they are allowed more leeway in their bodies. If she weren't as sucessful, she'd have to look super thin to prove herself. I have friends in the modeling industry and it's NOT a nice industry to be in. They treat you like you have NO mind of your own. You are nothing but a body for them to do whatever they want with even if it's risking the models health. So, I'd say, it's good that Adriana has the power to look healthy or to look how she wants.

Heh that one is so funny - thanks for posting! Adriana doesn't have to prove herself anymore which is why she no longer has to be stick thin. She has reached the stage where she is so famous and popular, she is allowed to weight a big more and it's not a big deal. If you look at the fashion world, all the new girls coming in and walking the runways are sketal because they are newbies who have to prove themselves. Adriana is at the stage where she's too popular. She's succeeded to the point where she no longer has to live by those unrealistic standards. Besides she look much more attractive with a bit more meat on her. Her weight gain just shows she is above and beyond the petty standards of the modeling world. She has surpassed it. The modeling world no longer treats her like an object to mold and abuse to however they like. I have a friend in the modeling business and if you aren't well-known, they treat you like a piece of meat apparently. You are nothing but an object and the people around you dictate how you should look. Adriana has power for being her own person now and looking how she wants to look. Alesandra's body looks like a boy..it's too skinny. If you were to see her in a person, she'd look like a mannequin with bones sticking out. Adriana's body is more appealing as a sex symbol now because she looks healthy.

I don't exactly have any authority to say with certainty that she has implants but it wouldn't come as a huge shock if she did. Many models do get implants. Most people assume only people with enormous breasts have implants which isn't true. You can increase the size by just half a cup or just make them appear slightly fuller rather than bigger. It would be tempting as a famous model with millions of dollars to find the best surgeon there is that can give you VERY natural, very real looking implants. When you're always in the public eye there is HUGE pressure to look perfect all the time and it would be tempting to get implants if you had the money even if only to re-shape the breasts rather than make them bigger.

Well, only one agency I really trusted...'NEXT' agency in Toronto. I think Ale might be with Next. It's rated #3 in the industry after Ford and Elite. (This guy followed me down the street for a few blocks and gave me his card) The other agencies seemed a bit suspcious (rip-offs) so I never checked them out. I was going away to school and would have never had the time. I was also 21 at the time (A little too old) I turned down Next because I was starting University. I like to look at models but I'm glad I never got into the business myself.

I have the same body shape as Adriana as well. Same height (5'10), same perportions/measurements (pretty thin)...although my weight has fluctuated as well from (126-145) I use to get approached all the time on the street by modeling agencies. Looking at models and fashion mags (sports illustrated/Victoria Secrets) usually makes me feel better/more confident about my appearance. That's partly why I even come here because I can relate to the 'model-look/body-shape'...and I can relate to what you're saying. However, my body looks more like Adriana's current weight and I plan to keep it that way. I have no desire to be as stick-thin as Adriana use to look. I think her body is much more 'appealing' now.

If u woke up in the morning and looked in the mirror and saw what Adriana does, you would know, but I bet she underrates herself somewhat! Could someone pls explain the situation to me. You may have guessed I'm a guy, and still I just don't understand why there are so many females posting in Adriana threads. I'm not interested in buff guys, so why do girls celebrate the female form so much. Are they fakenicking like me? You can't ALL be lesbians! Females are outnumbering males on here, which is wierd for such a hot specimen... What am i missing!?!? I've noticed this as well. And if you view any other models thread, Ana Barros, Ale or the runway models/new faces, they are over run by females. I just don't think enough men like the skinny runway type women for them to browse here. Women are much more concerned with being skinny and with their outer-appearance than men. Most women assume men find them attractive thinner than what they really are. As a result, I think women just flock to model sites much more than men do. Most men are on the porn sites or viewing Maxim, FHM type women who are a bit 'bigger' than the stick figure models like Ana Beatriz. There are exceptions but most men I know do not like model type women, therefore these models have way more female fans.

They're just trying to catch people that look ugly without makeup. Adriana looks the best from all the examples they used. She looks equally good without makeup as her runway shot. They only mention her vampire teeth because they had nothing else bad to say..they really had to 'strech'..haha.

Also, note that half of her face is covered by the Sunglasses. People can't even really tell how she looks from those two photos. The other photo, her face is scrunched up at a weird angle so it's not all that flattering. Otherwize, she just has small bags under her eyes from tiredness. She looks fine in the other two with the Sunglasses. I noticed that Adriana looks 'paler' than what she use to look when she was younger. Her skin isn't all that bronzed anymore.

That makes a lot of sense. Besides a Victoria Secret model would lose their career pretty quickly if they were doing drugs since they are the role models/spoke sperson. Most druggies in the modeling world come from younger models who are just beginning and have rocky or unstable careers. I think these pictures just show that she has been caught not looking 100% perfect, which is good because it shows she's human. I don't think she wears a lot of make up when she's out and about.

People are just so use to only seeing her all dolled-up, make-up perfect, and air-brushed for Victoria Secret. But those images aren't real. It's just a fantasy. That's the whole purpose of those pictures. It's to create an image, but it's mostly an allusion...like acting. Adriana is a real person. This is what she naturally looks like on a normal day (without makeup) and what she probably would look like if you were to meet her in person. Models are normal people as well who look quite average for the most part when they aren't 'working'. I use to work part-time dressing models at fashion shows and TRUST ME besides being skinny when models don't have their personal hair dressers, make-up artists, they look like any old person you'd see on the street. Sorry to burst anyone's bubble.

I've never seen those photos before. I know she was younger back then but 'man, she was skin and bones' Her body is so much more attractive/sexy now. She looks really unhealthy standing in the pool picture with the outline of her ribs sticking out. Yikes! She wouldn't look half as attractive if her weight dropped down again. Now she's more of a sex symbol, where as back then she had the body of a 12 year old :yuckky:

The girl looks like someone you'd see on the cover of Maxim or FHM or at a car show but she's one dimensional and doesn't have a natural beauty. Adriana is much classier. That girls is sexy in a trashy..I wear too much make-up way. Adriana has a million different looks, that girl has only one. She's in the category of Britney Spears or Lindsey Lohan not in the category of a model. She might be able to be an actress though.

I think I know who the model is I just can't remember her name. It's definetly not Adrianas body (no hips) or hair for that matter. I think it was lulluby that made the correction way back about that model.

Is that even her in the photo looking down in the blue babydoll dress? I remember it was posted before and someone making the correction that it was a different model.
