I don't think she loved Ashley. She gives the impression of a person who likes to pursue unattainable ideals. At least that's how it seems to me. It also seems to me that Rhett's intense passion was fueled by the fact that he couldn’t have her.

They deserve each other, but overall I like the tension between them

Rewatching "Riget" ("The Kingdom") by Lars Von Trier. The first 2 seasons are simply amazing. 3 season is not bad, but rather weak compared to 1 & 2.
