New interview with Máxima (Portugal) to promote the new Mango campaign (sorry for any translation mistakes)
Who is Anna Ewers, one of the influencers of the moment?

German model Anna Ewers, one of the Mango girls of the new campaign shot in Mexico, talked about her personal taste, her professional career and her aspirations.
With physical traits similar to Brigitte Bardot's erotic ingénue beauty and Kate Moss' sweet rebellion, model Anna Ewers (Friburg, 1993) is one of the most successful models of her generation and a fashion icon of the digital world.
At 27 years old, the german model is one of the influencers of the moment (340k followers on instagram) and one of Mango's new faces invited to bring back the '70s glamour in the brand's new spring/summer 2020 campaign that's sustainable. The long hot summersof Mérida and Valladolid are the background for the Shared Moments campaign, that Ewers stars alongside models Rebecca Leigh Longendyke, Vittoria Ceretti, Kit Butler and Hamid Onifade.
Captured by Glen Luchford lenses, the campaign reinforces the concept of togetherness, at the same that shows the key pieces of the womenswear collection, inspired by that decade, and made with fabrics 100% sustainable, like cotton and recycled fibers. In the collection, pastel tones and flower patterns stand out in iconic elements of that time, like vests, flared pants, long ruffled dresses or strappy sandals and basket bags.
When did the modelling world fascinate you for the first time? My fascination with fashion started when I was younger, through films, Actually, I didn't use to read fashion magazines before I worked in this industry.
What were your dreams for the future? I had big dreams that changed constantly during my childhood. When I started working as a model, I thought about grabbing the opportunity as a way to find out what I wanted to do. It's exciting to find out what's coming next.
You had your first model experience in Colombia. What's the history behind it? The thought of travelling, meeting creative people and learn about different cultures intrigued me. I love to do it and it's still my favourite part of the job.
What were your thoughts about this industry? Did that idea correspond to reality? I had no idea what to expect. I had no concrete thoughts about this profession, but everything was exciting to me because it was all new and it was a completely different world than what I had known before.
What's the best part of your job? The best thing is the amazing people I meet along the way.
What qualities make a brand perfect? I believe sustainability is becoming more important to make a brand be respected. We need to take care of our planet.
What's the best definition of the Mango woman? The Mango woman is independent. Her style is cool, but natural. She loves to travel and loves the nature.
The Shared Moments theme is strong. What are your favorite of these moments? I love sharing moments with my closest friends. For work, it's always exciting when we get together to share ideas and work in a new project.
What's your favourite family tradition, as a German? I love Christmas! It's the time of the year when we are able to get together and have a quality family time.
How was the experience of shooting this new campaign? We had some wonderful days. We shot in Mérida, Mexico.A really beautiful town I've always wanted to visit.
The collection is inspired by the '70s. Is there something about this decade that interests you? So many incredible films and I love the way people dressed in the '70s.
What are your favourite items of this collection and what would you always wear? I love the flares and the floral dresses are perfect for a warm summer day.
People are used to compare you to Brigitte Bardot or Kate Moss. Do you feel more like a Parisian or londoner, regardin your style? I feel very honoured to be compared to these icons! I feel more like a New Yorker, since I've been living in NYC for 7 years.
What does inspire you every day? And what do you do when you're not working? I try to be surrounded by nature as much as possible. It's how I recharge. I love to hike and do yoga.
What dreams have you yet to realise? I have so many dreams. I'm always excited to see what the future holds.
