Louise Griffiths, (born 31 July 1978 in Hertfordshire, England), is a female pop singer and songwriter. She is the daughter of a London taxicab driver, and she also plays the saxophone. She first became famous as a contestant in the BBC television series, Fame Academy 2 in 2003, when it was revealed that she was the live-in girlfriend of British Formula 1 racing driver, Jenson Button. Musical career Before appearing on Fame Academy, Griffiths was a member of an all girl band, Orchid, who originally recorded the hit song Sound of the Underground in 2001. Their single was never released, but the song was later re-recorded by Louis Walsh's pop band Girls Aloud using Orchid's original backing tracks and backing vocals, for which they were never credited. The song became a #1 hit for Girls Aloud in 2002. Shortly after this Orchid split up. In 2003 Griffiths was one of the first four students chosen by the public to appear on the second series of the BBC TV show Fame Academy. Despite complaints that her celebrity boyfriend and former recording and songwriting experience gave her an unfair advantage, she made it to the final eight before being voted out. Although Griffiths did not get a recording contract after the show, one of the songs she co-wrote with fellow student Alistair Griffin, "The Heart Can't Lie", was included on his debut album Bring It On which reached #12 in the UK album chart in January 2004. Shortly after leaving the show it was reported that she had been given an unreleased song by Robbie Williams and Guy Chambers to record, but this was never released. Personal life She got engaged to Jenson Button soon after leaving the Academy in 2003, and regularly accompanied him to many motor racing events. Her unreleased single Catch me if you can, a song put together by producer Arnon Woolfson, producer of Formula 1's theme tune for ITV was used by ITV to close their TV coverage of the 2004 Australian Grand Prix. Button broke off the engagement in 2005, just 12 weeks before their wedding day, amidst much publicity from the British tabloid press. Although there were rumours that the couple were to be reconciled, this was denied. Later that year Griffiths was reported to be dating singer Craig David and she was also seen in St Tropez on a yacht with veteran actor Bruce Willis. In December 2005 Griffiths announced her intention to move to America. She is negotiating for a record contract, and hopes to relaunch her music career in the US.

Jenny Frost (born Jennifer Frost, 22 February 1978, Wirral), is an English singer, model, television personality, DJ and member of Atomic Kitten. Biography Frost loved music from an early age. Her earliest concert experience was when her father took her to a Level 42 concert at the age of nine. Sports and dancing were Frost's favourite activities, however modelling was her dream. After high school she started to work for the BBC Television doing the Holiday programme and travelling around the world. Frost started her musical career in 1998 in the girl-band Precious, which became famous by winning the right to represent the UK at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1999, with the song "Say It Again". In a strange reversal of what has frequently happened to British entries, this success propelled Jenny and the band to a big hit in the UK Singles Chart, while they flopped at the contest itself, finishing only twelfth. Subsequent releases by Precious enjoyed only modest success and Frost moved on by replacing Kerry Katona in Atomic Kitten in 2001, just in time to bask in the reflected glory of the band's first UK No 1 single, "Whole Again". Frost got engaged to DJ Dom Thrupp in 2002; however, the couple has no intention of getting married yet.[2] After the split of Atomic Kitten, Frost has embarked on a solo career and released her first single "Crash Landing" on October 10, 2005, which failed to reach the Top 40. Frost originally recorded the song for the band Route 1, but decided to remake it and shoot a video for the song which features Frost in a spaceship in a pink/purple setting. She has recently appeared on the 2005 edition of I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here! on the ITV network. Frost is also part of Premier Model Management and does various modelling assignments like being the face of an underwear range. Frost's new song "Bad Girl" is available from her official MySpace. The song was originally written for Jennifer Lopez' Enough movie and was written by Frost's boyfriend Dom Thrupp. On March 23, 2007 Frost announched that she is expecting a baby. Its was also rumored on the 25th Of March that Jenny is busy in the studio working on a debut solo album entitled "Classic Ladies" which will feature cover version of songs by famous female singers such as Petula Clark, Barbra Streisand, Dusty Springfield and Lulu.

Ishtar (born Eti Zach; November 10th, 1968) is an Arabic pop singer. She is best known for her work as the front vocalist of the French-based band Alabina and her solo pop hits such as C'est La Vie, Last Kiss and Habibi (Sawah). Early life Eti Zach was born November 10, 1968 in Qiryat Atta, near Haïfa. She was born to an Egyptian mother and a Moroccan father (with Sephardic heritage) though she was raised in Israel. She speaks and sings in Arabic, Hebrew, French, Spanish, and English; in addition, she says she "half-speaks Moroccan". Ishtar began performing in clubs at age 15 and continued even while enrolled in the Israeli army, where she served as one of the first female fighter pilots. Though she was born Eti Zach, she chose the name 'Ishtar', a Mesopotamian Goddess, because her grandmother called her Ester, which "with her Egyptian accent it sounded like Ishtar", she said. It was around this time a friend asked her to join them in France. She soon fell in love with the country and decided to make it her home. Alabina years Main article: Alabina Once she moved to France, Ishtar began working as a back up vocalist for several flamenco type acts. It was here she was discovered by Charles Ibgui, who enamored with her voice, introduced her to Los Niños de Sara. She joined the group as a lead vocalist and together they performed under the name Alabina. Alabina soon became a world wide success charting in the top 10 and top 40 several times in the US alone. Alabina had found success mixing Flamenco, Arabic, Pop, and Dance sounds. Los Niños de Sara usually sang in Spanish while Ishtar would sing in Spanish, Arabic, French, Hebrew, or a mix of the languages — several songs were sung in Spanish and Arabic. Solo career Despite Alabina's success after two albums Ishtar decided to do a solo project of her own (though still a member of the group); Los Niños de Sara also began to release CDs of their own. In November, 2000 La Voix d'Alabina (The Voice of Alabina) was released. It stepped up the Oriental pop sound while mixing in some traditional Arabic sounds and dance beats. Nine out of the twelve songs were mainly in French though Arabic, Spanish, English, and Hebrew were mixed in on various songs (for example Last Kiss was in English). Several of the tracks found dance floor success, including Last Kiss. Ishtar continued to tour the world with Alabina for the next few years as she worked on her second album. Her sophomore album Truley Emet was released in August, 2003 this time with most of the songs being in Hebrew. However she decided to sing more songs in mixes of Arabic and Hebrew to show that there could be harmony between the two cultures. Truley Emet was again a dance floor success especially the songs C'est La Vie, and again Last Kiss. A few more performances were done with Alabina, though as of 2005, the group had seemed to disband by no longer activly performing or releasing new music. Ishtar's third album, Je Sais d'où Je Viens (I know from where I come) was released in November, 2005. This time the music was still Oriental pop, however much less dance. More hip hop-type beats were stirred in with the Arabic music. Most of the songs were sung in Arabic, four were sung in French, and a few in English, while Spanish and Hebrew could be found throughout the album. Again she found dance success with such singles as Habibi (Sawah), which for the first time in her career featured a rapper JMI Sissoko. Shortly after a greatest hits CD, The Alabina Years, was released, featuring a mix of Ishtar's solo hits, her Alabina hits, and some new English tracks as well. Ishtar currently lives in France and is working on promoting her album.

Hande Yener (born January 12, 1973 in Istanbul, Turkey) is a Turkish pop music singer. She brought a different style to Turkish pop music, which was quickly realized by Turkish listeners, and is today one of the most popular music artists in Turkey. Life and career In 1992, she met Sezen Aksu, who was shopping at the department store where she worked. Then Hulya Avsar helped her meet Sezen Aksu who later hired her as a backing singer after an audition. She supported Aksu at her album Deli Kızın Türküsü at back-vocals, also worked as her assistant for two years. Hande's debut album "Senden İbaret" (All About You) came out in 2000, with hit songs such as Yalanın Batsın and Yoksa Mani. The second release, (this album is also known as "Extra"), came out in 2001. Second album "Sen Yoluna, Ben Yoluma"(Go To Your Way,I Will Go Mine) released at 2002 with catchy hits such as Sen Yoluna, Ben Yoluma (Balon) and Küs. Later she returned with "Aşk Kadın Ruhundan Anlamıyor" (Love Don't Understand From Women's Soul) in 2004, her third album, which had six hits all-over Turkey; Acele Etme, Kırmızı, Acı Veriyor, Armağan, Hoşgeldiniz and Bu Yüzden, with radio hits such as Savaş Sonrası and Aşk Kadın Ruhundan Anlamıyor. "Aşk Kadın Ruhundan Anlamıyor" brought success to Yener in abroad too. Although her latest album was a huge success, Yener decided to improve and refine her music again (she wanted a more dance-friendly Euro Pop sound), also changed her appearance (dyed her blond hair to black). The result was "Apayrı" (Totally Different),which came out in early 2006,with hit song Kelepçe and following song Aşkın Ateşi. It is claimed this album sold 150.000 units within 5 days. Other sources say Apayrı sold 165.000 in 2006. Hande Yener, officially announced she has been approached by TRT two days after the final in Helsinki. She said they will finalize the contract in 15 days, and she is going to Eurovision Song Contest 2008 Serbia with an English song.

Elize (artist name of Elise van der Horst, born July 22, 1982 in Utrecht) is a Dutch singer-songwriter. Growing up in Bussum, EliZe shared her mother's passion for singing. As an eight year old she was selected to sing in a children's television show, "Kinderen voor Kinderen" ("Children for Children"), in which she performed for six years. From this period she is best known for singing "Het tietenlied" ("the tits song"), about a girl getting into puberty. Career After Kinderen voor Kinderen, she joined 'Non Stop', a teenage choir, and participated in two amateur productions of the musicals Chicago and Les Misérables. For the last couple of years, she has been active as a background singer in a song contest for children, and has completed a training college program for executive secretaries. In 2004, EliZe recorded an album in Denmark. The songs were written and produced by Peter Hartmann and Jan Langhoff, who also worked with Aqua. The first single, "Shake", was released in 2004 in the Netherlands. Though the song received the title "Dancesmash!" by Radio 538, the single was a modest hit by peaking at number 32 on the Dutch Top 40. "Automatic (I'm Talking to You)", the second single, was released in 2005 in the Netherlands and also earned the title "Dancesmash!" shortly after its release. The song became her signature song, peaking at number 7 there and becoming her best-selling single to date. It is also the first song that has ever charted outside the Netherlands, charting in Finland and Belgium amongst others in the top 20. Her third single, "I'm No Latino", was released in August 2005, and became a TMF Superclip shortly after its introduction. The song didn't perform as well as "Automatic" did, but still managed to peak at number 14 on the Dutch Top 40 and remaining in the chart for 6 weeks. EliZe has signed a contract at CMM and placed her management activities under AT Productions. Her latest single "Into Your System" was released on July 2nd 2006 and it debuted at number number 33 the week after its release in the national Top 40. The following week, it superstipped itself to number 23. Following the latest two singles, also "Into Your System" reached the top 20, peaking at number 18. Following the success of the singles, she released her long awaited debut album In Control on September 29, 2006. Of the album, which was released in the Benelux too, rumors were circulating it to be named Rhythm of Love. The album peaked at number 66 in the Dutch Mega Album Top 100. Many critics have the opinion the album should have been released after the success of her second single "Automatic." Possibly due the fact the fifth single "Itsy Bitsy Spider" flopped in the Netherlands, the album did not do well either. However the original song "Itsy Bitsy Spider" did not chart on the national Top 40, it did chart on the Mega Single Top 100, one of the two other official singles chart, only composed by legal downloads and physical single sales. The single debuted at number 100 on that chart and peaked at number 54 the next week. Since 2007, EliZe became yearclub mother of CERTUS; Nyenrode Heeren Jaarclub '07.
