  1. (Y) By the way, are you all talking about the next supermodel as in an "every person on the planet knows her name" supermodel, or just a "does all the major runways but the majority of the public doesn't have the faintest idea who she is" supermodel?
  2. ^^ But don't tell Jennka, she might get jealous.
  3. Tisk, tisk, Jennka! Don't you remember that I'm supposed to argue? My personality profile says so.
  4. "Hide my peanut away"? You better watch out, girly, those could be intepretted as fightin' words!

  5. Damn, you caught us! We think all non-whites are ugly. We also think any woman who wears over a size 3 is ugly. You might as well throw in anyone over 25 years of age. We think they're ugly, too. And just to be safe: let's go all out and say we think anyone born in another country is ugly--why limit it to age, body size, or skin color? After all, the US is just one seething mass of shallowness and racism.
  6. Hey, sweet Mirela! I'm soooo sick! It sucks! Every part of me hurts and I can barely even speak! I need you to come nurse me back to health!

  7. I'm getting tired of this, therefore I'll make it brief and simple, so this SS guy can understand it. #1 You insulted me by saying I have low self esteem and calling me a "chest-thumper"; and "beating down" is not an insult--I don't even know where you got that idea! #2 It's "gas," not "gass" #3 It wasn't me who said that to Rouge about pumping gas, so please get your facts straight if you're going to talk to me, because now I doubt you even know who you're arguing with, and it also proves you don't think before you type #4 I'll reiterate: it was YOU who insulted ME #5 Now you're saying my comments are juvenile--another insult from you when you say you're the one being insulted! hey, what's that smell? oh, it's the smell of HYPOCRISY #6 I'm very familiar with the rules, thanks, and I believe you can be banned for your constant insults against me, so you might want to watch your mouth #7 Yes, I am entrenched in a "zone of commitment" because I am an American and every girlfriend and female friend I've ever had is being insulted in this ignorant bash-the-US policy of yours and your friends, when you all know next to nothing about Americans beyond what stereotypes you treasure (and do you see me bashing YOUR people?). so you're damn straight I'm entrenched in this issue! anyone with pride would be! #8 You're calling me out on my tone and insults, when you're the one with the insults and the bad tone? hey, I smell something familiar... #9 Don't even try to sound like the responsible one with your talk about a "serious discussion": if you were serious about it, you might have shown the maturity Jennka demonstrated in PMing me earlier to handle this like an adult Are we done now? I feel like I'm trying to play chess with someone who only knows the rules of checkers, and it doesn't make for a good game.
  8. So EVERYONE you know who's visited the US has been disgusted with American women? Tell me, now what would American women have to do to disgust foreigners? Eat road-kill? Rape children? Wear human skin for clothing? These are things that would disgust me, and frankly, I don't see any women doing that! Or is it just our women's looks that disgust the Europeans you know? That's how you make it sound, since the conclusions coming from their disgust equate to American women being the ugliest in the world. Now I don't like to assume the worst about people--unlike some in this thread--so I won't pass judgement on what all that leads me to think. I'll just leave it at the two options that occurred to me: either you're lying (or grossly exxagerating the opinions of the people you know who visited the US) in a desperate attempt to support your ignorant opinion, or you're a magnet for the most shallow people in Europe. Either way, you're "generally speaking" is leading to an opinion that's worth nothing. To further counter your points, I can tell you that I'm second-generation European on my mother's side and third-generation on my father's, so about 75% of my family still lives in Europe and they have all come to the US numerous times to visit and NONE said a single thing bad about American women. And my cousins would have gladly pointed out their negative thoughts if they had any just to mess with me. So now you're bashing Hollywood actresses for not having natural beauty? You give one example to support it? So it's just your "general point of view" that Americans favor blonde hair and big breasts? And this is coming from where? "The Girls Next Door" and Pam Anderson? Because I look around and I don't see any girls like that, and if that's what we favor, I'm sure I'd be able to find at least ONE. You say Native Americans are beautiful based on what you've seen and read? You base your opinions on the movies and TV then? Good source! We all know the entertainment industry seeks to show everything just as it is, don't we? Or maybe you googled "Native American Women" to see some pictures, just like I did a minute ago? Well, if you think those women are beautiful... they're all yours. Everyone knows American women winning Miss Universe is because of money? Make sure you point me towards this "everyone" and the facts that they have, okay? And go ahead, assume the negative of a pageant contestant's motives! I mean, why think positive when we can think negative? So embrace the hate, Jennka, embrace the hate! And make sure to point out to me when there's a mass movement of models to save the children in third-world countries. I don't want to miss it. You also say I should trust you that every contestant has fame on their mind? Now based on all the above, why on Earth would I trust what you say? Now excuse me while I google "Slovakian women," because I'm expecting the most fantastically gorgeous women that have ever existed based on your condescension. If they're not, I'm going to be vastly disappointed.
  9. Thanks for pointing that out: me taking an unbiased, rational view of pageantry versus the ignorant, negative assumptions of others concerning it means I'm pressing my opinions on their minds. I'm glad you were here to help me realize it! Assuming negative things about people, then insulting me, makes an honest discussion for you? So I'm lacking in self-esteem, am I? Do you know me? Oh wait--I forgot: assuming the worst about people is what you get off to and it seems in the face of a superior argument you resort to cowardly insults like a child. Now I'd respond to your other post about my various points, but it seems you didn't think before you started typing (proven by your point #1), so I'll let it go as a favor to you. I'll let you better spend your time appreciating the models starving themselves in between their unnamed noble efforts (that you so appreciate) and their modeling, which of course isn't shallow in the slightest, has real depth as an art, and requires far more talent than acting or singing, which is of course why they went into modeling instead. Now if you want to respond again, please do better. You're putting me to sleep and it's not even 6pm.
  10. I could ask you the same question. But what do I know, sitting in my chair in Belgium, right? Well, as soon as I start making negative judgements of people I know little about and parading my ignorance around, I'll welcome the question. What I'm going to deny is that I KNOW or YOU KNOW what their aims truly are. But if you can read minds, then please let me know so I can correct myself. But until then, I'm just going to say that if fame is their goal, then... #1 That doesn't make them much different than thousands, if not millions, of people out there #2 There are goals far less noble than wanting to be famous, so criticizing someone for that is rather lame #3 The official cause of Miss Universe is the fight against HIV/AIDS, and she also acts as a goodwill ambassador around the world, so on the outside, a contestants goals ARE noble, but you clearly didn't know that because you have no idea what you're talking about #4 If they want to be famous, then they're taking a pretty ineffective way of getting there since pageant winners never become better known than top actors or musicians, so that seriously leads me to doubt that their end goal is simply fame #5 What fame and celebrity that comes from winning a pageant is a side product of being talented in the realm of pageantry, which includes peak physical appearance (by pageantry standards), self-presentation on stage, and personality--which makes it at least distantly related to modeling So was there anything else you would like to add so I can beat that down, too? Because I'm really enjoying this.
  11. I love blatant ignorance and negative, self-serving stereotypes of other people! Blonde hair and big boobs, yes that's all that matters to us in the US. I'm sure you're entirely qualified to make such a statement from your chair there in SLOVAKIA. I have little doubt you've ever met a lot (if any) Native American Indians either so once again your jumping to whatever ignorant conclusion suits your negative opinion of American women. Then, in the face of proof that there are beautiful American women--winning the Miss Universe pageant numerous times--you blame it on money. Are you qualified to make that statement? No. Of course not, but it suits you to make it. So have you said anything intelligent or anything with credibility? Not in the slightest.
  12. Or maybe because they earned it. Sch as? I'd love to hear how you know what their "questionable aspirations" are.
  13. I'm making my prediction for next year right now: the VSFS 2007 will be opened by Beyonce in the fantasy bra.
  14. Overrated? To you, maybe. Commercial? And that's bad? If being uncommercial means looking like an alien, then I'm glad she's commercial.
  15. Dweeb! Hahahah I know your secret identity.

  16. But as a celebrity, shouldn't she have some sort of talent if anyone's going to appreciate her? Or am I being too naive for nowaday's entertainment industry?
  17. That sample letter on TSG site was hilarious. But the people who would write that kind of letter aren't the ones who would ever watch the VSFS so I don't think they would contribute to dropping ratings.
  18. I don't think the world could handle that.
