Are we allowed to discuss a little from the show in here? I know 99% of the discussion went/is going on in the 2017 Show thread but I’m not able to access it as of now because of post limit. I just had a comment anyways, I wondered if anyone noticed how different Candice looked this year? She looked older if not harder in the face to me. But her body was killer as always so that distracted me a little.

The iconic Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show castings have been taking place over the past two weeks, and today, Lima’s trainer might have confirmed that 2017 will be her last show, via email. Michael Olajide, Jr. trains plenty of top models at his Manhattan boxing gym Aerospace, including Bridget Malcolm, Doutzen Kroes, Kelly Gale and Grace Mahary. The former professional boxer is known for his eye patch and flashy sneakers, and he’s often called the godfather of boxing fitness techniques. Olajide sent out a mass email to his adoring fans this morning with the frantic subject line, “A note from Michael!! Please read.” After offering up some post-eclipse eye patches, he wrote, “There’s been a sudden fitness emergency as Ms. Lima who’s walking for the ‘last time’ this year for Victorias Secret, needs the Aerocist. to perform an Aerocism and get her into iconic shape.” The exact details of the fitness emergency are left unsaid. Perhaps her abs are not protruding as much as years past, or maybe Olajide needs to fly to China to prepare with her personally. Until he’s back from said predicament, there will be a sub in the form of “The Gforce” Gary Griffin, who all other Angels will have to make do with. Perhaps Lima is retiring to cozy up with her new boyfriend, author Metin Hara, who she has been devoting Instagram posts to and traveled with to Turkey. Or maybe she wants to spend more time with her young daughters, who are four and seven. There’s always the possibility that after working for the lingerie brand since 1999, she’s simply looking at other options. Lima told British Vogue “I never want to retire, so I’ll do this for as long as my body can hold out!” in 2015, but with such a dire fitness emergency, it looks like this might be the ‘last time’ she walks with wings. Let’s agree to disagree. I just think Lais and Jasmine get confused for each other on a broader scale, I never really see media outlets confusing the blondes or like you said, Adriana and Sara, Taylor and Sara etc.

Thank u love! I agree that the “blondes” get compared way more but imo it’s more offensive with Lais and Jasmine, there are only two black New Angels in the lineup it’s kind of like a “you had one job” type of situation how hard is it to tear them apart when they look so different and there’s only two of them. Now the blondes on the other hand... I think people confuse them so much because there’s more of them and that’s just their way of poking fun at VS’s pretty bad diversity.

Guys, what does Singles Day mean? According to Lais it’s today. Does it mean the people who are performing are at their rehearsals today? If so, I guess Pharell is performing...she recorded a clip of him on stage but I’m not sure that this means he’s a confirmed performer.

Lais, Romee (she’s a bit boring but seems sweet and harmless especially in her vlogs) and errrrr that’s all I got! Lol. Jasmine is stunning but I’ve said this once before in this thread, she seems a lil fake

I see the topic has already changed but I’m catching up, sorry! Btw this isn’t meant to be Kelly slander. I can sort of see this, Kelly seems to have a bigger bone structure. I’m not sure how to explain this, you know how you can only lose so much weight then it’s up to your genetics to see how it looks on a person? Her body structure seems to just be naturally wide so she works out a lot to make up for it. (I’ll attach a pic so you know what I’m talking about) Yeah in addition to her working herself so much, she also works herself too hard. One time she broke some ribs and didn’t even notice for days because she trains so hard. Something similar happened not to long ago where she injured her foot somehow and she would not let herself heal, she posted an ig story of her walking around the city doing errands with an injured foot. She really needs to chill, it’s not the best message to send out.

I like Kelly but there’s just always something lacking with her. I think it’s because she’s so boring and sort of hard to relate to? If you go on her Instagram all she ever really talks about is working out and or eating healthy and then her usual pics of her bf etc. I’m not asking for her to over share, I just wish we got to see more of her personality because besides her amazing body she seems so one dimensional. I think if she was more relatable she’d have more of a fanbase and attention on Instagram...(and maybe even book more jobs? Maybe that’s a reach though)
