The "What Are You Thinking About Right Now?" PIP
Our family does in fact have an official flag bearing the coat of arms, personally gifted to my grandfather by the Queen herself. I believe my Grandfather is one of her cousins from I believe her mom's side of the family. I honestly don't know, I haven't put much thought into how they're related. I just know that the coat of arms is extremely important to my family and because I thought I lost it I've felt extremely bad for years. This is my ancestry from the last 5 generations. As for the dog, I’m hopeful she’ll mesh well with our other animals. If she does, she’ll be enrolled in professional training immediately. Mastiffs are typically calm and gentle, but they’re notorious for resource guarding and can become so protective that guests aren’t welcome until the dog decides they’re acceptable. At nine months old, I have no idea what kind of socialization she’s had... if any, and given her size, that carries risk. When we brought home our Bullmastiff and Corso, they were just two months old. We started immediately: vet visits, grooming appointments, and near-daily introductions to everyone in our lives. Petco, local shops, parks, downtown walks, constant exposure. By five months, they were ready for formal training. This new girl, though, she’s super skinny for her size, but, muscular, and already showing signs of resource guarding from the people at the shelter. That’s manageable with our dogs, who’ll give her space. It’s the cats I’m concerned about. Many people won’t take on a dog this size due to the financial strain and potential liability. But with my husband only home four or five days a month, I feel deeply secure in my home with my current dogs. That kind of peace is a blessing. Yes, we have weapons in the house, but I’d rather the dogs serve as deterrents first is shit goes sideways.

@Matt! I donated $250 to my local animal rescue, and the universe threw me a full sevenfold hug. As the plumber wrapped up installing my new water heater, he caught something we thought was already handled: a hidden leak. Not in the washing machine like we thought (which is why we bought a new machine), but in the wall of my laundry room. He spotted it instantly. I already had a $1,575 bill because of labor, heater, new pipes and shutoff valve. So when he said “leak,” my soul let my fucking body lol, I thought this was going to be another 500+ dollars fix, but no, he fixed it in five minutes and only charged me $25. That’s it. Total damage: $1,600. Could’ve been $2,000 easy, especially since he had to cut into the wall. But karma was on my side!!! My mother-in-law? Glorious. Our visit? Genuinely lovely, which shocked the hell out of me. AND! about 22 years ago I thought I had lost my families' coat of arms. It was given to my Grandfather by Queen Wilhelmina of the Netherlands (little know fact but my dad's dad is related to the Queen). This was for my Grandparents attending some event for Wilhelmina's daughter. I've removed my family name for privacy. So my Mother in Law FOUND our coat of arms at my Father in Law's house in Seattle. She’s having it restored and sent to me. And today marks the final day of summer like temps of 83°F (28°C). Tomorrow is ALL AUTUMN!!! with highs in the 68s (20°C), lows of 40s (14°C). One more twist in the karmic happiness: the animal shelter I donated to has a puppy I might be adopting. We’re planning a meet-up in the park so she can be properly introduced to my current dogs, a Bullmastiff and a Cane Corso. This is the possible new girl.. A Bullmastiff–English Mastiff mix. Nine months old, already 92.7 pounds, and projected to surpass 215+ If all goes well, she’ll be joining the home soon. It's just one of those days. Prettyphile_s Video - Oct 18, 2025-VEED.mp4

Washing Machine in... 5 minutes and I won't have to deal with him. Plumber on his way to buy the new hot water heater to install it, just a few more hours and I won't be dealing with this shit.

Shockingly, the mother-in-law convo went smoothly. She’s mellowed out, and she and my husband are off to dinner.....blessedly without me. I’ve successfully delegated the washing machine ordeal to my mother... Strategic Deflection points for me, which leaves me with the water heater and the plumbers. That, I can handle. To balance the karmic ledger, I swear to god I’m donating to the local animal shelter. Let the universe take note: I’m officially done interacting with anyone who isn’t family, a close friend, or someone I’m paid to tolerate (co-workers). The social wall is up. No more convo for randoms.

When your water heater decides to die without warning, your washing machine joins the rebellion, and because fate is a dramatic bitch, your estranged mother announces a surprise cross-country visit from Montana, ETA: one hour till she gets to my house. We haven’t spoken in two decades, and for good reason. She’s not someone I tolerate, let alone welcome. And as if the universe wanted to make tomorrow a challenge of logistical torment, the grocery delivery, the plumbers, and the guy hauling in the new washing machine are all scheduled to arrive at almost the same fucking time. Yay to strangers, noise, and forced interaction. I don’t like dealing with people on a good day. Tomorrow will test my patience. Tonight is already a descent into a horror show. Thankfully, my husband will be here to handle his mother and the incoming chaos. I'm going to hide in my bedroom till she's gone. WHY IS ALL THIS BULLSHIT HAPPENING IN OCTOBER?!?!! at the same fucking time. On a bright note... The first actual fall like days are arriving very soon.

Dear Summer, I, for one, am done. You’ve lingered far past your welcome. You need to go. I loathe you. And I don’t use that word lightly. In fact, “loathe” might be the most diplomatic term I can muster. You are a walking contradiction to everything I am. Your heat is oppressive. Your humidity is suffocating. Your endless blinding sunshine is a personal attack. I am built for dark, for the shadows, for velvet, corsets and black lace, not for UV rays, heat and sweat. And yes, I know the scene is “about the music,” but fuck you.... it’s also about the look. And you ruin it. You attempted to scorch my skin for the last 5 months. Your assault my eyes is endless, and you force me into a daily ritual of sunscreen, parasols, and oversized sunglasses just to survive a two minute walk. And still, you find a way to seep in despite all my attempts to block you from my life.... As of October 1st, I'm a tiny less pale then normal, I'm not here for that. My genetics don't allow for that. I am English, Irish, German, Swedish & Norwegian, my skin is porcelain, not canvas. Your worshippers may tan now and wrinkle later. I will look 35 at 50, and I’ll do it in matte finish. And speaking of matte, your moist little obsession ruins my foundation, which is designed to make me look even more pale. It does not appreciate your bullshit. Moisture is your best friend. It is my sworn enemy. But it’s not just physical. You drain me emotionally. Your cicadas scream. Your light blinds. Your heat feels like mockery. I am irritable, melancholic, and spiritually dehydrated. You've crushed my spirit and fray my nerves. I yearn for your sister Autumn. She is everything you are not. She arrives with grace, dressed in rust, and fog. She understands silence, shadow, and the sacred chill. She lets me breathe. She lets me layer. She lets me exist. Spooky season is HERE. The air will cool. The leaves will fall. And I will rise again. Well, I live with snakes and lizards And other things that go bump in the night Cause to me every day is Halloween I've given up hiding and started to fight Sincerely - 🎃

I’ve been to Trump rallies, twice, actually and what I saw couldn’t be further from the kind of imagery people like you try to invoke when you throw around comparisons to Hitler. Honestly, it’s laughable. The rallies were fun, upbeat, family-friendly, and filled with people from every walk of life. Sure, the Bible people who were preaching a bit much for my taste, but that’s their right, and it was my right to nod, smile, and move on. That’s how that works. There were plenty of people from “alternative lifestyles” too, myself included. I was welcomed with curiosity, respect, and genuine interest in my views and style of dress. That’s not fascism. That’s community. Hard concept right? When Trump speaks, he’s engaging, funny, and yeah he repeats himself (a lot). But that’s his style. It’s not propaganda. It’s not authoritarianism. It’s a man speaking directly to the people who elected him, in language they understand and feel comfortable with. Comparing his rallies to Hitler’s isn’t just inaccurate, it’s bullshit and it's reckless. It cheapens history and insults the millions who suffered under actual tyranny. And now you’re asking if he’s on drugs? That’s blatant stupidity. It’s a baseless smear that says more about you than it does about him. If you don’t like his policies, say so. If you disagree with his tone, fine. But throwing around drug accusations without a shred of evidence is juvenile and dishonest. It’s not political discourse, it’s gossip. And last I checked you aren't a 18 year old girl. More than anything, it’s a slap in the face to those of us who support him. I am and will always be MAGA. I admire President Trump deeply, and I’m proud to call him my President. When people use extreme rhetoric to paint him as something he’s not, even if it's in passing, they’re not just attacking him, they’re attacking me, and millions of other Americans who believe in him and his vision. And let’s be real: if I or any of his supporters thought for a second that he was actually doing drugs, we’d speak up. We’d be pissed the fuck off,, frustrated, and we’d call it out. Disagree with his policies if you want. Debate his decisions. But stop weaponizing history and rumors. That’s not how you build understanding. That’s how you destroy it and then we get Charlie Kirk type of situations for people on both the right and left (mostly the left so far). Don't be part of the problem.

Honestly, it felt predictable from the start.. When you’ve seen enough horror movies, the patterns in these films jump out immediately. I’ve always had a knack for spotting connections, in people, places, and things. It’s what I studied in university, and it’s central to my work in behavioral analysis. The horror genre hasn’t offered anything truly original in ages :( It wasn't a bad movie, and I might have enjoyed it a little more had there not been so much hyper surrounding it. I expected more and was let down.

The "What Are You Thinking About Right Now?" PIP
@Matt! - I just finished Weapons... SPOILERS - Spoiler I didn’t know exactly what I was expecting, but whatever it was, this movie missed the mark. There were a few moments I almost enjoyed, but they were drowned out by one glaring flaw: leaving one boy behind while the others vanished. From the opening scenes, it was painfully obvious he was “the reason” or somehow central to the whole mess, which made the so-called mystery feel flat and predictable. Ten minutes in, I had the plot figured out with no Googling required. I mean the random tagging of the word WITCH on the car wasn't a dead give away or anything. Bitch would of helped to keep the secret a little longer, but nope, we got a random WITCH. The script leaned hard on supernatural cliches but never committed to a clear direction. It wasn’t a spirit as there wasn’t enough eerie buildup or unsettling music to sell that. It wasn’t a slasher, no vampires, no zombies. That left a witch, or something vaguely witch like, conveniently tied to the remaining kid. Toss in a quirky, determined teacher trying to piece it all together, and the whole thing felt like a paint by numbers genre mashup. Some scenes were just laughably implausible. The teacher sleeping through a woman standing outside her car, then climbing in to cut her hair without waking her? lol um, no. And then the gas station attack the next day? Way too on the nose that magic was at play. The father searching for his son Matthew, only reinforced the magical angle with some of his scenes, but they lacked depth. The jump scares were weak, and the “aunt”? It felt like someone tried to channel Hocus Pocus but forgot to bring the charm. To quote it directly: “We must find the book, brew the potion, and suck the lives out of the children of Salem before sunrise. Otherwise it's curtains. We evaporate! We cease to exist!…” Same vibes, worded differently. What could’ve been an intriguing concept got buried under boring tropes and strange pacing. At times, it felt like I was almost watching two different movies. I honestly don’t understand the hype.
