By 1903 she was a big star in Moscow and in St. Petersburg. In 1905 she moved to New York City and opened up a Russian language theater in the Lower East Side. Alla made her Broadway debut in 1906 and became a popular stage actress. "War Brides" was her first movie in 1915. Later on in her life she developed breast cancer and survived.
