Cristiano Ronaldo: “We will fight in Barcelona”

“I wish I had the chance to face a team of 10; it is very difficult to turn a 2-0 score around away from home, but anything can happen in football”

Cristiano Ronaldo did not hide his frustration after the defeat against Barcelona.

“I don’t understand. It is very difficult to play in such circumstances. We had a strategy. It was a 0-0 game and Kaka was warming up so we would attack more in the last 20 minutes. We weren’t playing well. but we were playing for a 0-0. This has happened in the last four years. Barcelona have power, a lot of power. The same thing happens every year. It happened against Chelsea, Inter Milan… and now against Real Madrid. I don’t know how this can be fixed.”

“I am a professional footballer and I like to enjoy myself when I play. But these situations suck all the joy out of you. We’re sad because it’s the same every year. Mourinho is right. Referees know football. I wish I had the chance to face a team of 10. It is very different to face a team of 11 and a team of 10, especially against Barcelona.”

“It is very difficult to turn a 2-0 score around away from home, but anything can happen in football. We will fight in Barcelona.”

ALEX FERGUSON would rather have Cristiano Ronaldo back at Manchester United than sign Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi.

Speaking in the aftermath of Manchester United’s Champions League semi-final, first leg win over Schalke, Fergie revealed he rates Ronaldo as the world’s best player.

The Red Devils boss sold the Portuguese star, 26, to Real Madrid two years ago for a world record £80million fee.

And Ferguson will be at the Bernabeu tonight to watch Ronaldo and Co take on Messi’s Barca in the first leg of their Champions League last four clash.

The winner of the tie, which sees the second leg take place at the Nou Camp on Tuesday, look likely to face United in the final at Wembley on May 28.

But the Scot insists he would choose his former forward over Argentine wizard Messi, 23, if he was given the choice between signing the two.

Ferguson said: “I had Ronaldo here as a player and I think he is the best player in the world.

“He can play with both feet, he has fantastic skill, strength and bravery, and he’s a greater header of the ball.

“But Messi is an absolutely fantastic player also. It’s difficult to choose between the two, it’s the toss of a coin.

“It depends on how you view your player. The fact that I had Ronaldo here so long, I know him well.

“I saw how he dedicated himself in training sessions to becoming the best player in the world and so that would weigh heavily on my view of him as a player and as a person.

“But you look at the boy Messi and you know that he’s a serious player. He loves playing football.

“He’s as brave as a lion because he will always take the ball in any situation. They are different types of players but there’s no doubt both provide a fantastic end product.”

Ronaldo has scored 42 goals in 48 games for Real this season, providing 13 assists for his team-mates.

In contrast, Messi has smashed an astonishing 50 goals in 49 matches in all competitions, with 23 assists for his side.

They are both excellent players but what it comes to is how effective you are on the field. Messi doesnt let his physical attributes stop him from being the best! The style of his play is incredible.I agree that ronaldo is good in shooting skills. But,messi is the player who is a real nightmare for the defenders.;)

So...When it comes to succes on the field i will give this one to Messi, but off the field Ronaldo(ads, looks, modeling, etc)

Learn something about Ronaldo's career and then talk! He is great player. Completed player - score many goals with a head, from free-kick, from long and small distances with left and right foot. He's got perfect skills and movement on the ground.

We don't talk about his private life as a person like everyone of us ,we talk about his FOOTBALL career.

At the first time he is a FOOTBALL PLAYER.

Do you make a difference in these two things?

I don't thing so.
