Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas has told reporters that he is hopeful of winning when Spain take on Belgium at the Riazor, something he has never managed with Real.

The 28-year-old stopper has been Real's first choice 'keeper since 1999 and in that time has won seven domestic titles but an away win over Deportivo La Coruna still eludes him.

Now Casillas is hoping that Saturday's visit to the Riazor with the Fiera Roja will break his ten year hoodoo at the stadium.

"It is true that I failed to win here, only managed a few points [from draws], but hopefully with the national selection the spell is broken," he said.

Casillas also said that it was a pleasure to return to La Coruna with the national team after an absence.

"For a while the national team didn't come here. It is a privilege to return. We hope and wish that people come to game and I think they will," he added

Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas says it would be disastrous for his side to fail to capture a trophy but he admitted to Marca that anything can happen in football.

"It would be a disaster to not win something with this team this season," Casillas declared.

"Anything can happen though. Four or five years ago we had this uncomfortable situation where we played good football for six months, but failed to win anything.

"Results are what matters," added the 28-year-old, who enters his eleventh straight season as first choice 'keeper at the Bernabeu.

When asked whether he would prefer to win the Primera Division, UEFA Champions League or the World Cup in 2010, Casillas said it would be difficult to pick.

He added, "I don't know what to say. I'll stick with them all," said the Spain stopper, who has amassed 96 caps for his country.

He also admitted that rivals Barcelona's recent success gives him a "healthy envy", and that he hopes to lift "as many, or more trophies than Barca this ye
