... I really don't get the point of reposting a Reddit post here... Especially when the Reddit post is a 1080p scaled-down version with a machine translated caption as title. Instagram has been serving 1440p pictures for 7 years or so. You don't even need an IG account anymore. You can use the Network Tab of your browser, one of many add-ons, or even online tools. If you see a term like "p1080x1080" or "s1080x1080" in the original IG image URL, you're looking at a scaled-down version.
