April 9Apr 9 Author Shaundra Hyre is a model, actress, dancer, singer and artist. She was born in Indiana and is of Cherokee Indian decent. Discovered at the age of 16 in Chicago, she continued on to NY to participate as a finalist in the Elite Look of the Year. From there she began a promising career for magazines such as, Italian Vogue, Elle, Comopolitan and GQ. In addition to notable brands like Armani Exchange, Diane Von Furstenberg and Ralph Lauren as well as Advertising clients like Biore, Avon, L'Oreal, Pantene and Oil of Olay.She enjoyes collaberating with photographers and artists and can be found in award winning publications by Jurgen Teller, Peter Beard and Elaine Constantine. Shaundra is very passionate about Native American and tribal cultures, art, music, singing, dancing, film, fashion, animals, old cars, the healing arts as well as health and nutrition. she is no longer modeling. She is based in Miami where she works as a medicine woman.
