Real Madrid offered Ronaldo, Cassano to AC Milan

Real Madrid have offered Ronaldo and Antonio Cassano to AC Milan.

AS says talks were held between Real and Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani over 15 days during which they offered first option on Ronaldo and the sale of Cassano for this month's market.

However, Milan turned down the offer for both players, citing them being Cup-tied from the Champions League as the main reason for the decision.

Ronaldo has already told Real sports director Pedja Mijatovic he wants to stay in Madrid, but knows the club has been circulating his name around Europe since August and won't consider staying at a club that isn't fully committed to him.

Real coach Fabio Capello said: "I believe the club is right to speak with players as important as Ronaldo and decide the future of this player."

Real Madrid have contacted Chelsea about the availability of striker Andriy Shevchenko.

The Spanish giants are keen to setup a swap deal which would see Shevchenko move to the Santiago Bernabeu in exchange for Ronaldo.

Real chiefs are touting Ronaldo around Europe and offered the Brazilian to AC Milan recently, only for the proposal to be turned down by the Italian giants, says AS.

Real Madrid's technical team are thrashing out plans to offload a stunning SIXTEEN of coach Fabio Capello's first team squad at the end of this season. Capello, along with sports director Pedja Mijatovic and advisor Franco Baldini, have discussed their long-term plans for the senior squad, which is set to see a major overhaul of the playing staff.

ABC says Michel Salgado, Ivan Helguera, Roberto Carlos, Guti, Raul, Ronaldo, David Beckham, Raul Bravo, Jose Reyes, Emerson, Franciso Pavon, Alvaro Mejia, Oscar Minambres, Antonio Cassano, Pablo Garcia and Carlos Diogo are all set to either being allowed to come off contract or will be circulated around Europe's top clubs.

Capello tells Calderon: Real Madrid must sell Ronaldo

Real Madrid coach Fabio Capello held crisis talks with president Ramon Calderon yesterday.

Not satisfied after defeat at Deportivo La Coruna on Sunday, Calderon called a meeting with Capello, which was

also sat in on by sports chief Pedja Mijatovic and director Franco Baldini.

AS says Capello did not mince words and demanded that Ronaldo be sold as soon as possible. The Italian told Calderon that Ronaldo had broken team rules on multiple occasions and was a bad influence on the club's younger players.

"If you can, you must sell him during the winter market," demanded Capello. "I do not want him as part of my project."

Capello also admitted to Calderon that veteran signings Emerson and Fabio Cannavaro had failed him, that he wanted Antonio Cassano to follow Ronaldo out the door this month and on David Beckham, he said: "Do not renew his contract."
