Yeah I try not to be too critical about it because I think it helps some people feel better about themselves, but I don't think there is anything admirable about it. Being open about it has the effect of further normalization of having this done. It's not exactly the same as this but I will use an analogy of an athlete using steroids. If they are open about it, then it normalizes steroid use which is unhealthy. If they hide it, then it is dishonest and gives them an advantage. That leads to the conclusion that there is no moral way to use steroids. Even if you aren't an athlete. In this case for botox, if you hide that you are having this done it contributes to unrealistic beauty standards.
