The models are amazing, the designers are hella fresh and the whole place seems imbued with magic and creativity. This interview with Kiwi model Evelina and the accompanying shoot, by NZ photographer (and Lorde's BF) James K Lowe further solidifies that love. Read on, to get to know Evelina. <3Jerico Mandybur: Where are you/your family from and where are you currently living?Evelina: I am half Kiwi and half English — my mum's side is from New Zealand and my dad's from England. I was born and raised in Tauranga, New Zealand and have lived here my whole life. Currently I live between my mum's and dad's houses in central Tauranga and downtown Mount Maunganui.Earliest childhood memory?I cherish all my childhood memories but my most distinct memory is playing hide and seek with my Dad and brothers on this little island of rocks just off Mount Maunganui beach. Moment that changed your life?Getting 'discovered' by Clyne while working in my parents shop, Charles & Munro in Tauranga.Five women you look up to?I admire my Nanny for her nice-natured personality and how she is always happy. Also, my good friend Amelia for always being there for me; Audrey Hepburn for her view on life and the work she did with UNICEF; Lady Gaga for not only her talent, unique style and personality but also for the work she does involving youth, and Cameron Diaz — she is my favourite actress and one of my idols. I love her outgoing personality and sense of humour.Best piece of advice you ever received?My dad always gives the best advice and the most valuable thing he has said to me is to "look at life as though everything happens for a reason."What does 'beauty' mean to you?Beauty to me can either be materialistic or natural. Everyone finds beauty in different things. I don't think someone should be judged on what they think is beautiful. What would your last meal be?A Sunday roast dinner cooked by my grandparents.What animal do you identify with the most?As funny as it sounds, I think I identify most with a horse. They learn from their mistakes and try to improve all the time. They are independent, strong animals but also rely on the company of others and have quirky personalities.What rules would you instil if you were Supreme Leader of Earth for one day?Equality between races, religions and gender. Also, everyone earning an income has to donate a dollar to those in poverty.What song do you really wish you'd written and why?'Go Wild In The Country' by Bow Wow Wow.
