Maleficent (/məˈlɛfɪsənt/) is an upcoming 2014 dark fantasy film directed by Robert Stromberg and produced by Walt Disney Pictures, from a screenplay written by Paul Dini and Linda Woolverton.[3] Starring Angelina Jolie as the eponymous Disney Villainess character, the film is both aprequel and a re-imagining of Walt Disney's 1959 animated adaptation of Sleeping Beauty, and portrays the story from the perspective of the antagonist, Maleficent. It began filming on June 18, 2012, and is scheduled for release on May 30, 2014 in 3D and realD)) 3D.[2]

Maleficent marked the directorial debut of production designer Robert Stromberg (Alice in WonderlandAvatarOz the Great and Powerful) and the return of longtime Disney filmmaker and enthusiast Don Hahn as producer.

the movie looks amazing, and I love Angelina,

I'm just worried that they are going to try to redeem her in this movie.

I don't want her to be some sympathetic baddie, I want her evil as hell and badass,

^Same. Try to show that shes just a product of some terrible experiance, etc. I just want her to be straight up evil. Which is what its looking like. The way she smiles is just fabulous, so terrible :D
