madristar Posted December 31, 2010 Posted December 31, 2010 Fabregas - Real Madrid's next skipper?Real Madrid plan to launch an audacious bid to snatch Arsenal skipper Cesc Fabregas from under the nose of rivals Barcelona.According to reports from the Sun, Real boss Jose Mourinho will make a direct appeal to Fabregas to join him at Madrid in the summer.The report claims that Real will bid £35million for Fabregas, who considered leaving Arsenal at the start of the season, or offer defender Ezequiel Garay, midfielders Lassana and Mahamadou Diarra or Gago in part-exchange."Mourinho has decided to convince Cesc personally he can be the next leader of the team," a source told the Sun.The newspaper's source, however, still believes that the midfielder's boyhood club Barcelona remain favourites to sign him should he decide to leave England.Arsenal's 23-year-old star player recently came back from injury to guide the Gunners to a vital 3-1 win over Chelsea earlier in the week.
