What is a life without Diana Rigg in it?

I checked out the You Tube embedding stuff and it seems okay to post this, a succulent montage of DR clips for your delectation:

Diana is best known for her role as Emma Peel in the sixties British serial The Avengers. This was made during the cold war so there's a lot of spies and folk with eastern european accents. The first series was in black and white and I like these the best. Towards the end of the series the episodes got a bit over-whacky, but still worth watching for Diana's wardrobe and smile. The best of British sixties chic and quirky eccentricity!

Fantastic! She, and/or Mrs Peal, were really in the forefront of some of the social changes in the mid 60s...Obviously very smart and well educated, stylish and Mod to the max (tall slim girls were something new in pop culture), needless to say sexy in word, look and deed :gocho: , able to take care of herself in a fight and with more than a hint of bondage and S & M (I think she got tied up in almost every episode!!); how many female actresses could pull all of that off and still look classy? Most of those traits were either non-existent or frowned upon in television back then. She also went on to do a full nude scene in a Broadway play after The Avengers...I was very happy to learn that she was considered the finest Shakespearean actress in Britain- Dame Diana is one of a kind! :hehe:
