Anna, is there an "import" feature in the program you're trying to use? I'm not sure but when u try to open a file the prog may expect a gif file,not a vid.

Nope, this is what it said to do in their forums..

Using video segments in GIF Animator

Open GIF Animator and create a new, blank animation.

Click the Add Video button on the standard toolbar to open the Add Video dialog box.

Locate the movie file you want to use and select. Then click the Duration button.

When the Duration dialog box opens, there are two attributes that let you define the beginning and the end of the segment you're going to use. These are Mark-in and Mark-out. There are two ways to select a video segment using these attributes: You can enter the frame numbers manually, or you can use the Preview window and video controls to to scroll to the parts you want to mark with the Mark-in and Mark-out buttons.

After marking the portion of the image you're going to use, click OK. The Duration dialog box closes, returning you to the Add Video dialog box. Click OK again, and the frames you chose are loaded into GIF Animator.

All you need to do is to put that link in the Link to off-site Avatar box
