In 2012, Xantholite, a Chinese apparel company, chose Scott to be the face of their men's casual clothing line. Xantholite flew Scott to China for the photo sessions and to make public appearances promoting their brand. Here are some photos from that campaign and some behind-the-scenes shots:

The Beheading of Medusa

 

 

In ancient Greek mythology, the Medusa was a horrid creature, dreadful to behold, with a nest of writhing venomous snakes for hair. She was slain by the hero Perseus, who beheaded her. This exotic and hauntingly beautiful fashion video plays on the myth of the Medusa, with Scott playing the role of the hero Perseus. All credits are included on the video itself. Scott Gardner, born in 1990, in Los Angeles, California, USA, is an American model.

 

Gardner has been in theater since age 8, choir since age 9 and dance since age 15. When he turned 20, he was unexpectedly thrust into the modeling world when he was scouted by a photographer near his hometown and it was then that he knew to make this potentially difficult career path his profession.

 

Success came easy and early on, gracing the pages of ‘Bridget Marie’ and ‘Coitus’ magazine; and making appearances in various ad campaigns including ‘Bullet Apparel’, ‘Jenn Hoffman’, and ‘Miguel Benitz’.

 

Soon after, the 6-foot stunner became the favorite of photographers Paul Boulon, Jim Tanner, Danny Wong, and Ted Buel.

"Fun, different, crazy"

 

That's how Scott describes himself in the interview posted above. We are so accustomed to seeing Scott in his gorgeous photography studio pics and in elegant fashion editorials that most people don't know that Scott is really a major cut-up. Friends know him to be an extrovert -- fun-loving and outgoing -- with an exuberant enjoyment of life, family and friends. He has a sunny personality and an irrepressible sense of humor. In this post, we can see the very unserious side of this beautiful Californian. He was already beautiful at age 9, where we see him all dressed up for a choir competition:

In high school, Scott was active in theater and dance, in addition to choir, and he was also a cheerleader:





The strength and flexibility he gained in studying dance and in the gymnastics of cheerleading no doubt help explain why he is able to do this...
