Tuba Büyüküstün, became the first Turkish actress to be nominated for an Emmy.

 

The International Emmy Awards nominees have been announced. While  from Turkey, "20 Minutes" and “Karadayi" were prenominated for for the “best series” category,  İlker Aksum and Kenan İmirzalıoğlu for the "best actor” , Tuba Büyüküstün and Bergüzar Korel for the “best actress" categories, only  Tuba Büyüküstün is nominated from Turkey  for the "Best actress" category  for her performance in "20minutes" series.

 

Tuba Büyüküstün is then the first Turkish actress to win a nomination in such an international and important awards ceremony. International Emmy Awards will be given to their owners in a grand ceremony to be held in New York city on November the 24th.
