The young Indian women tennis sensation Sania Mirza, was born in Mumbai on November 15, 1986. Presently the highest ranked Indian, Sania started playing Tennis at the tender age of six at the Nizam club in Hyderabad

Born to parents,  father Imran Mirza a sports journalist and mother Nasima, it was Sania's father Imran who initiated her into the game and who has always encouraged her to be the best. She started practicing under CK Bhupati, India's top tennis player Mahesh Bhupati's father. She learnt the professional game at Sinnet Tennis Academy in Secunderabad before moving to Ace Tennis Academy in the USA. Now she is managed by Mahesh Bhupati's company Global Sports and has a specialist advisor Bob Brett who was Boris Becker's coach earlier.

Sania Mirza is now in the top 50 of the world and the hottest tennis player from India. Sania Mirza is constantly moving up .. recently moved to 48 after beating the ninth ranked Nadia Petrova.

Sania Mirza has been performing constantly and is aggressive !!

Bob Brett : Sania Mirza can play with the big girls

The great Aussie super coach, Bob Brett, who had earlier coached Boris Becker and Goran Ivanisevic , speaks very high of Sania Mirza, who has jumped from number 206 at the start of the season to number 48 recently.

Bob Brett is now expected to coach Sania, since India

She's so average and pales in comparison to the bollywood girls lookswise. Dont know how she plays though.

She is an ideal for Muslim girls because in Muslim culture generally they are full cover in Burke and doesn't have so many freedom to go out and play or do other activity. she is an ideal for us too.
