Top models turn the camera on themselves

 

A new exhibition sees the likes of Natalia Vodianova, Doutzen Kroes and Saskia de Brauw pose for self-portraits.

 

They spend their lives being moulded into someone else's creative vision, but how do models see themselves?

This concept is explored in a new exhibition by Viva London Model Management and style bible Harper's Bazaar.

The project, which launches online on September 3 (alongside a physical exhibition the day after in London) sees top models and talent, including Edie Campbell, Doutzen Kroes and Natalia Vodianova depicted through self-portraits.

 

"I love being silly like this with my son Lucas," says top Russian model Vodianova (photo above) who pulls funny faces with her 11-year-old son in her self-portrait. " I like to work hard, but I also enjoy laughing at myself and want to give that opportunity to others. I guess I will be catching up on play for the rest of my life."
