I was born in Texas in the panhandle by the [Mexican] border. I grew up in Houston. We found all these great quirky moments of Texas, the idea of everything from super-Uber wealthy to the folk art of the city. Houston is a real smorgasbord of ideas, like a lot of cities. There's a poetry to Texas that a lot of people are fascinated by so we called [this] a travelogue. It was a quirky study of Texas living.
