Kakà’s quotes post-match: (from realmadrid.com)

Kaka made the starting lineup and scored the opener against Real Sociedad.

“I felt more comfortable, faster and more agile. I feel more confident. One always wants more when things work out. I’d like to have games like this more frequently in order to actively help the team.”

“It was important for us to score early and to sentence the game soon after that. It made the match easier for us. It was an important game for us because we maintain our 7-point distance with Barcelona.”

“Playing motivates players. We used many men who missed the last few games. It’s important for the group to grow more confident.”

“Cristiano gets angry when he makes a mistake or fails to score, but that’s not to say he is anxious about it. He scored again tonight and his numbers are truly impressive.”

“Adebayor is proving to be a great player who will help Real Madrid this season.”

And Mourinho added: “Kaka is ready to play very well for an hour, not more, but he did very well.“

Kaka’s interview with BWIN, the Real Madrid sponsor, discussing about the upcoming La Liga match against Mallorca.

“It was a long recovery process, but I think I can do a lot of good for this team between now and the end of the season. I am happy to have rejoined the team, returned to the playing field and to know that my teammates believe in me.”

“I promise to do my very best to help this team. I want to score again in the Bernabeu. I always try to be an active participant in the team’s wins, whether it is by scoring or providing assists.”

“Cristiano Ronaldo is the best player in the league because he is the complete package. I train with him day in and day out and I know what he is capable of. I would love to be remembered here as a winner that accomplished many things.”

“The three points against Mallorca are crucial, especially because we play at home, where we are obligated to win. We need to win by playing our game.”

He also shared some story about his struggle to return back on the pitch, as well as his opinion about Jose Mourinho and team mate Karim Benzema.

“My return was very difficult, not just from a medical standpoint, but from a motivational one as well. I always like to play. Playing football puts a smile on my face. These five last months of the season are crucial because all will be decided. We can do a lot of great things this year. We must win a title.”

“Real Madrid has and always will be demanding. Winning is a requirement. This team has the talent to win all three competitions. I hope I can make fans happy doing what I know best. I am a more mature player and I think I have a lot to offer when healthy. I have to work, work, work to get to where I want to be.”

“Mourinho is helping me a lot and giving me the playing time I need to reach peak condition. I put a lot of pressure on myself and I know I am not in top shape, but I am working hard and I think I will improve in no time.”

“Mourinho is a leader and a great coach. When we need to laugh, he makes jokes. When he needs to be tough and motivate us, he does. I find him very motivated because his job is very challenging. Mou is building a team and is doing a great job, but sometimes things take more than year.”

“Mou was very straightforward with us. He said, “I am your coach today and we are going to do our best to win. We will see what happens at the end of the season. I am here and I will give you all that I have got.” He is a great coach who wants to succeed with this team.”

“The coach must decide if there is need for a striker. I am here to help on the field. I will be very happy if Ruud van Nistelrooy comes. He helped me a lot during the time we coincided here. He taught me a lot.”

“Benzema is a great forward, but he sometimes isn’t completely involved in the game and we think he can do a little more. He has the talent. We see how good he is during training. He can be an important player for Real Madrid. It’s up to him.”

Corinthians attempted audacious Kaka bid

Brazilian side Corinthians have made an audacious attempt to loan playmaker Kaka from Real Madrid.

In the wake of the departure of two Brazilian footballing icons in Ronaldo and Roberto Carlos, reports in Brazil claim that Corinthians are looking for a high profile replacement, and have considered the 28-year-old as a possible solution, albeit on a temporary basis.

Kaka has had an injury-plagued second season at the Santiago Bernabeu but, despite recently making a successful return to the first team, is finding it extremely competitive to slot back into the starting lineup due to the summer arrivals and emergence of fellow playmakers Mesut Ozil and Angel Di Maria.

With the football season reaching its climax, Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho is unlikely to start Kaka if he is not fully match fit, a situation which Corinthians is ready to pounce on.

According to newspaper Folha de Sao Paulo, Corinthians are prepared to make a loan bid for the ex-AC Milan player and offer him regular first team football, in order to help him regain his pre-injury levels of match fitness and sharpness.

The publication further added that Kaka was open to the move, but felt it would be difficult for him to leave Spain at this stage of his career.

Following the weekend's results in La Liga, Real Madrid have now cut down Barcelona's lead at the top of the table to just five points.

And while Mourinho is not ready to automatically slot Kaka back into his starting lineup, with Real still challenging for silverware on three seperate fronts, it seems unlikely he will allow the talented midfielder to leave the Santiago Bernabeu.

Agent: Kaka not leaving Real Madrid

The agent of Real Madrid midfielder Kaka has insisted his client is not leaving the Santiago Bernabeu at the end of this season.

The Brazilian joined Madrid from AC Milan for a fee of €68.5 million in 2009 but has so far struggled to live up to the hefty price-tag.

And despite recently returning from a long injury lay-off, the 28-year-old's future at the Santiago Bernabeu continues to be clouded in uncertainty.

That has led to widespead speculation linking the Brazilian out of the club, with Inter Milan and Chelsea the possible destinations.

But his Italian agent Ernesto Bronzetti has dismissed the rumours as baseless.

"There is no possibility for Kaka to leave Madrid," Bronzetti told Ilsussidiario.net.

"Florentino Perez told me for sure, the former Milan player was one of his honourable transfers.

"Of course, the football market can always change from now on, but from what I know it's just paper speculation."

Kaka has played just 10 games for the Los Blancos this season, scoring twice.
