Los actores españoles Penélope Cruz y Javier Bardem fueron nominados el jueves a estos galardones, antesala al Oscar, por su participación en la cinta Vicky Cristina Barcelona. La actriz de 34 años es candidata al título de Mejor Actriz de Reparto. Por su parte, su novio, de 39, –que ya ganó el año pasado este galardón por No Country for Old Man, además del Oscar–, está nominado como Mejor Actor de Comedia por sus interpretaciones en la película de Woody Allen. Además, Vicky…, rodada en Barcelona y Asturias, en España, competirá por el galardón de Comedia Cinematográfica del Año, y la actriz Rebecca Hall, está nominada a Mejor Actriz de Comedia. La principal rival de Cruz será Kate Winslet, candidata por su actuación en The Reader. Bardem competirá con Colin Farrell y Brendan Gleeson por In Bruges, James Franco por Pineapple Express, y Dustin Hoffman por Last Chance Harvey. The co-star lovers are preparing for a trip to the States, as they most likely have a little hardware to collect during the upcoming awards season. The Spanish pair were recently spotted sharing a meal while out in to dinner in Madrid, walking side-by-side while trying to skirt by lurking paparazzi. And while everything seems fine on the relationship front, Miss Cruz recently dished about her nagging insecurities during an interview with Cosmopolitan. The Oscar-winning beauty tells: “I’ve always had my insecurities and most of them have not gone away. I guess we’re all vulnerable. I know myself a little bit more. Of course, some things remain a mystery and that is a search that never ends, but I wish I was less insecure.” One thing that won’t be slowing Penelope down is aging, as she explains: “Age holds absolutely no fear for me.
