spiral
Cute,in her own way Pre-haircut Kristen was very pretty. Quite a contrast from the androgynous no-eyebrows look she adopted in the early 90s. The guy with her is a very young Tanel Bedrossiantz, who still models in Gaultier fashion shows these days. I love this comment Tanel made about fashion shows in the 80s compared to fashion shows today: ”In the 80s fashion shows were much more festive, much more fun, much more friendly… fashion show rooms were huge, many people came without invitation, you knew someone to let you go in. They were big parades with sometimes fifty models. There was often hysteria in the room, people whistled and shouted for joy… Now it is much more traditional, models one hardly knows, fashion shows last 15 minutes, people in the room has the air of boredom, sends messages with their mobile phones and the whole world is gone in 10 minutes… The Magic, the Madness of the major fashion shows is lost.”

Sometimes these big swarms were also made by non-professional models."fashion show rooms were huge, many people came without invitation" and backstages were chaotic,so true
prejean
Yes, it´s true that the shows were more playful before & were more ready to spontaneity and interaction with the public, it was all much less rigid. And the girls were either outrageously beautiful & most women, or with a distinct personality and many tables on the catwalk... not comment on the clothes... :wub2:...: it was all much more creative & original than now. Now with Internet, smartphones, fashion blogs and streaming fashion shows, so to speak to the absorption of couture houses with tradition by corporations, we are all overexposed to the subject and until indigested. It´s almost impossible to find the element of surprise, a salutary lesson... so long for those days, perhaps more informal but also more fun & dreamy. spiral
I agree with both of you. The past is indeed always mythical, but also the fashion industry became extremely watered-down (compared to how it used to be) and there's definitely an overexposure to fashion these days. And, the corporate acquisition of the prominent fashion houses was the probably one of the worst things to happen to those houses, as in many cases it cheapened their image. Anyway, thanks for all the pics.
prejean
Thank you very much, guys! -a pity that for the general public only has transcended of this great house (Fendi) the symbol of the baguette bag... creation of the early 2000's; I love its leather, like that of Ferragamo... indeed, the creator of the best uniform (IMO) of the London Olympics, San Marino-. I'm not sure but, could be perhaps Anna Bayle? (I upload some pics from her blog to illustrate)
