Sunset
Mameha, when people get to the extreme your speaking of it's often a sign of obsessive compulsive disorder. Like any other mental disorder these people need serious professional help, the last thing they need is more judgement.
mameha
It's not judgment if you're seeing this behavior and want to intervene on the person's behalf..if a loved one suffered from a drinking habit and I pointed out the damage it was causing it's not "judgment"..it's simply wanting to put an end to risky behavior..addicts often can't see the situation clearly
Memento Mori
Quick mention:My mom has had cosmetic surgery, but it was reconstructive. Plastic surgery definitely has its uses in cases like that.
lilbabe80
I think that there's nothing wrong with plastic surgery as long as somebody is doing it for themselves and not for anyone else (especially since it is considered serious surgery and requires maintenance for life). However, I also agree that one should never lie about it. It really is nobody's business but if you don't want to talk about it, then just tell people "no comment" rather than lying to the world that you're "all natural" or "born like this." In my opinion, no matter the reason/excuse, it's ALWAYS best not to lie. A lie is a lie is a lie regardless of the reason.I think lying about your surgies also leads to many negative implications for women. But that's a whole other issue...
