NATASHA STEFANENKO

Natasha Stefanenko (born on April.18, 1969 (some sources state 1971 which is disputable) in Sverdlovsk as Natalya Dmitrievna Stefanenko / Наталья Дмитриевна Стефаненко) is a former model from Russia that became an Italian actress and TV host later on. She was discovered as a model at the age of 20 when winning the Look of the Year by Elite in 1991 in Russia. Shortly after she moved to Milan for modeling. In Milan in the mid 1990s she was then discovered as an actress and tv host and became an Italian celebrity.

Her hometown, Sverdlovsk-45, was renamed Lesnoy. My sources (Italian press) credit her with a height varying between 183 and 185 cm. while she was born on April 18, 1969. She graduated from Moscow National University of Science and Technology with a degree in metallurgical engineering.

I saw that myself and wondered and corrected 69 to 71 but will change it back. I have the following feeling - 69 as per Wiki is correct and corresponds with the 79 photo where she definitely looks rather like a 10 year old then an 8 year old. The other sources that state 71 which corresponds with being 20 years old when winning the Look of the Year in 91 are incorrect. I also have a note on a comp from 91 that she said that she was 20 on that casting. In the early 1990s starting to model with 20 was already rather late. When starting with 22 is was tough and often models made themselves younger as a result to be able to start a career ;) I think she won the contest in 91 at 22 and officially it was stated that she was 20. And at a later stage in career when no one really cared about her age anymore she corrected her bio to her real age and no one realized it :)

@tarsier41 @kivenarmstrength @fakediorpurse you are the show rockets - can you dig out her Milan shows from 91 to approx.95 including Missoni Spring 1994? She possibly also did the Rome shows at that time. Would really appreciate!! :)

Here Natasha celebrates her 52nd birthday, with her daughter and husband, it is April 19, 2021. So says the article, I believe it is reliable.

I know :) And later it was just Red Stars. It was our partner agency in Russia from 90-approx.97. We represented lots of Russian models from Elite Red Stars and Loty Russia. We also participated in this contest in the former Soviet Union and were in Moscow before the fall of the iron curtain :)

I remember commenting on these photos before. I have another piece of information from the newspapers: a modeling agency from Hamburg, headed by Heidi Gross, was among the judges of the express contest (or casting) called "Elite Photomodel 1990" as part of the "Miss Photo USSR" contest in Moscow in May 1990. And the three winners out of about 15 models - Lilia Kadyrova (the winner), Ausra Novickyte, and Yevgenia (Evgenia) Kryukova - then went to Paris. Perhaps your color photos were taken in 1990, not 1989?
