He combines strength with intelligent movement and has often been compared stylistically to classic No. 9 forwards.Højlund came through the youth academy at FC Copenhagen before breaking out at SK Sturm Graz in 2022. His impressive performances earned him a move to Atalanta BC later that year, where he established himself as one of Europe's most promising young forwards.In 2023, Højlund signed for Manchester United in a high-profile transfer. After two seasons in England, he spent the 2025-26 season on loan at SSC Napoli, where strong performances led the Italian club to sign him permanently in June 2026.Internationally, Højlund has been a regular for the Denmark national football team since 2022.
