Ayase Ueda (born 28 August 1998) is a Japanese professional footballer who plays as a striker for Dutch club Feyenoord and the Japan national team.

He began his career at Kashima Antlers, where he made his professional debut in 2019 after developing through their youth system and Hosei University. He quickly established himself as a promising goalscorer in the J1 League.

In 2022, Ueda moved to Belgium to join Cercle Brugge, where he had a strong season and finished among the league’s top scorers, which led to a transfer to Feyenoord in 2023.

At Feyenoord, he initially played a rotational role but gradually became more important, known for his finishing ability, movement in the box, and aerial strength. He has also scored in major competitions like the UEFA Champions League.

He is considered as one of the best Japanese footballers at the moment.
